  4. I found the bags near to Norfolk Park yesterday, partially covered in snow and very wet but the bags are waterproof so the equipment seemed to be protected quite well. Hopefully it can be used again. Thanks to the O/P who raised this thread.. I was able to confirm where they came from using the thread and links provided by other forummers and so was able to give more info to the police when contacted. Thumbs up for Sheffield Forum. Lets hope the rest of the equipment turns up too.
  5. Howdy folks, the bags have been handed in to the Police this morning

  12. If you type in "Jack the lad" on this page... http://library.sheffield.gov.uk/uhtbin/webcat .. it provides a few places that apparently have copies of the book.
  13. I think there is a safety issue here aswell though. People who fish at this pond are sat some 30 yards or so directly in front of the tee box on the 11th hole. Very dangerous if you ask me.
  14. It is a bit of a nightmare hole but i guess thats why its third hardest on the course (or is it second?, something like that anyway!). Unfortunately, the way the land slopes the ball is always going to kick left. I guess if youre a big hitter and can get passed the trees then you will usually be ok but normally hitting off the 15th (or a few yards from the 16th tee as i was a few weeks back! ). The only alternative to be safe would be to hit a short iron down the fairway but youre still going to roll to the left. Fortunately ive been hitting straight so tend to aim between the tree in the centre of the fairway and the big tree at the top of the hill on the right and let the contours bring the ball back to the centre (ish). I do think theres a lot of luck involved though on that hole.
