What do you do when you feel that everything you do is wrong?
Urien replied to cori's topic in General Discussions
Yeah! switch off the computer and do something positive - a long walk in the countryside is always a tonic -

Very witty - I'm sure, but what your point? -

Watching some African women on a BBC interview last night you would have heard them say that things had actually got worse after 20 years of black rule - a view you could hear echoed across Zimbabwe. It's sad that people actually believe they're going to be governed any better by a bunch of power-crazed, self-serving commies, just because they happen to be the same colour - still, that's racism for you. -

It's like all the immigrants coming here and helping themselves to everything the Brits have worked for, fought for and built up, having contributed nothing. -
What would happen if social security was abolished?
Urien replied to Entwhistle's topic in General Discussions
No political party would dare to ban social security, it would cause so much civil unrest that couldn't be contained. There would be mass rioting in the Muslim ghettos and across the council estates. Shops would be looted and property torched. There must come a time though when there are more people on benefits than the tax-payer can afford to keep. How our useless politicians tackle that is any-one's guess. -
Surely, in Gordon Brown, we have a Prime Minister who is [sic] an economic genius. http://www.snouts-in-the-trough.com/discover-our-books/squandered

How did the Labour party become so left wing?
Urien replied to GetItDone's topic in General Discussions
Nu Labour have betrayed the working-classes in favour of Third-World rabble, the welfare classes and other vociferous "minorities." - as advocated by the Frankfurt School of Marxists. -
It was more commonly known as a bread-and-fat shop It did provide work for lots of local people though until a succession of different owners had it and ran it down, including Yanks who carved-up the more profitable side of the business.

I expect we'll be swamped with a whole new bunch of Greek "economic migrants" looking for the benefits of living in the good old UK.
-
Greece will not be allowed to fail, the great European Union project must roll on - at whatever cost - and we'll be paying for it!!! When the treacherous Heath signed up to this European farce he bought us a pig in a poke. THINK! every vote for the Lib/Lab/Con men is a vote for the continued rape, plundering and ruination of this country.

I remember they used to sell some pretty lousy keg beer in the Buccaneer

Bracken hill camp, near chapeltown
Urien replied to tugnetbot2's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
I used to live on Raleigh Drive and I was once told by an old fella from Chapeltown that it was the site of a POW camp. -
It was evident from Nu Labour's (lack of) immigration policy that their sole intention was to flood the UK with immigrants, whether or not they were desirable or of any benefit to this country. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/telegraph-view/7199457/The-deceit-of-Labours-immigration-policy.html
