  1. I've had a bit of a play around with the image. The red appears to be the clothes of a small cartoon man, the pale blob on top being the face, with a green hat. Also, looks like he's carrying a box to the left, possibly a pizza box or something similar, and an arm in the air on the other side. I'm not from Sheffield though, so won't be able to place it. Just seeing what I can find
  2. ok thanks for the advice. I know it could get me in trouble but how can they prove I was the main driver? Its hard times, would struggle to be able to afford £2300 per year for insurance on a clio 1.2 from 1994 for my own policy even if it was happy days... I could take the other common root among friends of my age and just drive without insurance, but i'd rather not. For £727 a year as a named driver earning NCB I think i'll take the risk. If it goes wrong you have my permission to say I told you so!
  3. I've just passed my driving test, and was wondering if it is legal for my Dad to be the main policy holder on two seperate policies? The idea being one for his car, and me being the named driver on a second car that he is also the policy holder on. Is this naughty naughty or ok?
  4. I think its ridiculous that she was sacked about this. I'm not saying I totally stand behind what she said, although it was just a mother trying to protect her daughter, even if the 'threat' was unfounded. She could have gotten a warning maybe, but to be fired is completely over the top. Seeing as the phonecall didn't even have anything to do with her job, she wasn't pulling a Brand/Ross prank, its even more out of line. In my opinion anyway.
  5. Just a simple question really, take a piece of paper and draw a circle, which way round do you do it? Had quite a funny conversation about it the other night with a group of friends, which won't be as funny repeated but at least you know the reason i'm asking!
  6. Definitely some things to think about, thanks for all the replies. I was never expecting an instant fix, like a little speech I could give her to sort it. I'm definitely willing to give her the time and support. I can see how it is something you must resolve in your own mind, so I will simply try and support her in every way possible. Thanks again for the excellent advice, much appreciated
  7. Basically, my girlfriend doesn't feel very confident in herself. She isn't a recluse, and will talk to new people if i'm with her, but struggles when i'm not. Also, she thinks she's fat and finds it hard to believe that she's beautiful. Now, as the guy, I know she is, as shallow is it may sound it is the reason I started speaking to her in the first place, and was rewarded with a great personality as well. I understand that more and more young women are thinking they are ugly/fat because of the size 0 trend, but I can honestly say she is not fat, couldn't even say she's partially chubby to be perfectly honest! But because she cant see every single one of her ribs she feels fat. What can I do to help her see thats she is actually a good looking person? I mean I do tell her, sincerely, that she looks good, but words will never do it will they? Basically, ! I really think its a shame that she can't be confident in herself, and would love to help her, so can someone help me? Thanks a lot!
  8. Just wondering if there are any powerballers on the forum? If so, how long, top scores etc? For those who don't know what a powerball is, look at this site. It's not my fault if you buy one, and never put it down again

  10. Yes, I am still friends with one of my ex's and still talk to another, sometimes.
  11. I can assure you JBee, that it is for research purposes only. I was looking at smallpox but there aren't enough figures around. I will continue to search though.
  12. Hi, I have an assignment to complete on a disease and am looking for one that is particularly gruesome/disgusting. It may seem like some strange criteria but it is what I require. Any names would be great, thanks
  13. I did not literally mean explode, but the build up of pressure was so severe that it may have split the skin, which would then turn into a very large, messy cut. I am not sure if it would destroy all of the bones in the body, but it was certainly on its way. It managed to liquify all of the bones in the hand, and half way up the forearm before it was stopped. Even the doctors were unsure of what caused it, or what they did to stop it. If it was due to the high levels of antibiotics that were being pumped into him, then it would have to be a bacterial infection i suppose. The doctors were fearful of it spreading to more of the body as they were preparing to amputate his arm before they noticed the slow down. I will have a look at all of the sugestions and thank you very much for them!
  14. Firstly, thank you for your interest, I know this isn't everyones cup of tea, so to speak. I am looking for the name of a disease that I would like to research for a science project. I believe it is an Egyptian disease, which can infect the subject through the skin. I know of one case where a person pricked themeselves on a rose thorn, this was later found to be the source of the infection. To put it quite simply the disease turns the bones to liquid, slowly. It is not initially painful but the infected limb can swell to twice its regular size, which is painful enough but the limb would then require several long cuts to allow liquid to drain out, preventing the 'explosion' of the limb. The bones can obviously never grow back and the person could lose all of the bones in the body if not treated correctly. I have to say that this disease is not overly common, hence the problem with finding its name. I don't know if we have any bioligists on this forum but I am hoping
  15. Personnaly, I can not see any problem with that Mind you that's from the perspective of a male so... Why is it that what most men desire, most women despise
