  1. The 'phone no. seems out of action. Don't know how old the site is but it says. "Major improvements are planned for 2012", so looks well out of date. Thanks for trying though - much appreciated.
  2. I'm going to Maltby-le-Marsh soon, near Oham Lakes. Years ago these used to be a well known (big) carp fishery. I've tried researching them on the 'net but can't find a home page. What information there is, largely dries up after 2013. The few reviews since then are flimsy (such as: great fishing) and don't give details of species, sizes, etc. Anyone have any up-to-date info please?
  3. The only one with 30 lb+ that springs to mind reasonably local is Cromwell Lake: http://www.cromwelllake.com/about-us/
  4. So have I, so my comment stands. The difference is I didn't feel the need to try to impress people with my credentials. This is a public forum open for anyone to give their views/opinions without automatically being shouted down and abused by trolls and self-appointed experts like yourself. I suspect you must be retired as, due to the amount of time you spend on the forum, you can't have much time left for work.
  5. Unlike you, I only post on subjects I know something about. I don't troll and comment on just about every post on the forum. To-date you have made 10,521 posts - you must think you are the font of all knowledge. :suspect:
  6. I agree. Scotland gets £1600 p.a. per head more than England from the government. We are subsidising them. I would suggest that, if Scotland does have another referendum, in the interests of fairness, it should be run in tandem with an English referendum: "Do you want Scotland to remain part of the UK". ---------- Post added 28-06-2016 at 20:30 ---------- Why keep spreading these myths. The University of Sheffield did not get money from the E.U. The E.U. only acted as a middleman and gave the U of S some of the money paid in by the UK (less its "admin fee", of course).
  7. Why would we want a "Norway" deal? We want our own, UK deal. Norway forged their own deal, not modelled on someone elses. Why shouldn't we?
  8. A classic case of self-denial. I am VERY HAPPY I voted the right way (to leave). You must realise how arrogant your statement is - that over half the people who voted are wrong, but little you, is right. I am also very happy at all the problems the Labour and Conservative parties are now suffering. It may shake them up enough so that they now come out of their elitist London-orientated bubble and start focusing on the real world. For anyone interested in EU Trade deals with other parts of the world (not involving free movement of labour): http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries-and-regions/agreements/#_other-countries EU-Ecuador text of the trade agreement published, not yet ratified, 17 February 2015 Colombia and Peru - Trade Agreement, signed 26 July 2012 Central America - Association Agreement with a strong trade component, signed 29 June 2012 EU-Iraq - Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, signed on 11 May 2012 Papua New Guinea and Fiji - Interim Partnership Agreement ratified by Papua New Guinea in May 2011 Korea - New Generation Free Trade Agreement, signed 06 October 2010 Cameroon – Economic Partnership Agreement signed in 2009 Madagascar, Mauritius, the Seychelles, and Zimbabwe Economic Partnership Agreement signed in August 2009 Chile - Association Agreement and Additional Protocol, 01 February 2003 (trade) / 01 March 2005 (full agreement) Mexico - Economic Partnership, Political Coordination and Cooperation Agreement, 01 July 2000 South Africa - Trade, Development and Co-operation Agreement, 01 January 2000 CARIFORUM States - Economic Partnership Agreement, Provisionally applied
  9. Why do people keep saying this? No-one yet knows what our agreement with the EU will be. I'm sick of these prophets. Countries in other parts of the world have, or are negotiating, trade deals with the EU that don't involve free movement of labour. Will the "remainers" please stop spitting your dummies out, respect the referendum result, get on with your lives and let the negotiations take place before criticising the outcome.
  10. If your insurance is fully comp can't you claim through your insurer? They should then claim from the fishery owner. A better idea might be to threaten the fishery owner with doing that. If he pays you out directly it will save him the hassle and you, your no-claims.
  11. Yes, all of them! Have you? The point I was making was that the police gave my neighbour the impression they had no intention of taking action.
  12. No, but they formulate and agree them, then pass them to the EU parliament for rubber stamping. Cite David Cameron's negotiations to reform the EU. Agreement was reached without any consultation with MEPs. They are expected to simply pass the deal.
  13. A meaningless vote so far as the UK is concerned, as we are such a minority in the EU and mostly out-voted.
