There are so many pro Capitalist memes doing the rounds and yet so Many people supporting the NHS I couldn't miss the irony. It made me think about my upbringing in a socialist Sheffield. Free education, school dinners a bob each and the best public transport system in the world. I'm wondering how many busses would have been on Sheffields roads at any one time back then. I worked in the carbide department in 1971. There was a guy called Phil, his nick was Sneck. I was 18 at the time and turned up at the Christmas do at the City Hall, which was supposed to be black tie, in hippie gear and with 3 girls. I didn't last really long there for some reason

They may have to call in the help of their tax collecting arm (speed cameras), and what a tragedy if they actually had to leave their public funded air conditioning, get off their arses, and do some police work.

I can only vouch for myself and state emphatically that I have never voted in an election or watched more than half an episode of big brother. Although this may not fully exempt me from any blame, I feel that my abstinence would endorse my disapproval.

The bomber was definitely not British. I refuse to believe that this shoddy workmanship could have been perpetrated by someone who was ethnic, educated and trained in a British establishment. When we Brits do something we make sure that we do it right.

I have been aware of this for some time and this is reason that I insist using the spelling that we Brits use, which is "moslem" I will not even capitalize the M. If someone defines themselves by their religion first, I have no time for them. They are obviously of a radical element from what ever religion they subscribe to, and are living in some fantasy which compels us to embrace their delusion. We who are of this planet and fail to subscribe to their beliefs are castigated and labeled racist. Freedom of belief is the constitution of the British people but when the actions of the brain washed endanger this freedom, we have a tendency to fire up. Spell moslem however you like and call moslems what ever you want, but never call islam a religion of freedom or peace.

Since this thread seems to have diverted from its original topic, I will attempt to diffuse the animosity and bring it back online. I am wondering what would cause someone to feel so threatened that they would go to the extent of bombing a mosque. Do they feel that Islam is a threat? Do they think that immigration policies disenfranchise them and so radical action is needed to illustrate this point? Should England become the battleground to solve international and religious differences? And finally, when are the Brits going to say enough is enough, and elect a government that places the interests of it's ethnic British population above those of other countries?

Can someone answer me this on the equality issue? Can a woman have several husbands? I know that a moslem man can have several wives although the British system will only allow one, so subsequent wives have to claim the single mothers allowance. This really places a burden on the family by having only one family allowance supplemented by only a few unmarried mothers allowances. These people really struggle because in some cases their household income can be less than 1000 pounds some weeks.
