You really are a turnip.

Sure it's had luminaries of the likes of Ted Heath, Rab Butler, Derick Heathcote Amory, and Harold Macmillan. However when you have the likes of Chris Grayling, Gavin Williamson, Priti Patel, Suella Braverman, Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, and Lee Anderson all occupying senior positions in the party in recent times - that's going to take the sheen of any party and render it gutter worthy in most people's estimations.
-
I wouldn't even trust them to tell the truth about what their contacts said.

Really, if it was more prestigious being a Tory MP, why are they trailing in the polls, and regarded with contempt? But I'll admit I am fascinated who you think it's more prestigious being a former Tory MP - where's your evidence?

Aside from those that are retiring because of age; many have announced they are standing down early because of the rules which govern MPs going into the private sector.

I'd not even considered that. You make a fair point. -

It would be ironic if snooker did go to China on the back of moaners Hossein Vafaei, because at certain times of the year, the pollution is so bad people can barely breathe, and visibility is massively reduced. Oh well, at least it doesn't smell. -

Would that be down Abbeydale Road, Ecclesall Road area? It would eventually be very popular as a hell of a lot of buses go down those roads - but can you imagine the consternation caused by the disruption.... -
I agree it's performative nonsense, but for some weird reason it's like catnip to right wing opinion formers in some parts of the media.

Well we all have our opinions, and I'm not afraid to articulate mine.
