Yes but in the last 20 we won more than you........Which means if wednesday are poor ...... in the last half of the season we performed better than you....... which means the oinkers have a lot to do in the close season.
Which i am sure oink warnock knows, so what i was pointing to is it will be an interesting close season for both of us....Wednesday have increased the wage bill by another million which puts us the same as you at the begining of the season we have just had

If united played like they did in the second half of the season they would be down near the bottom of the table not the top, LIKE I SAID HAMMERED EVERY WEEK BLADES

Ok so in the last 20 as you have stated more than a few times on here you were better than us :o
Lets go to the first 20 matches then
Blades won 13 lost 3 drew 3
Wendy won 4  drew 9 lost 12 :o
The 21st match you played was at Bramall Lane and I forgot the score , can you remind me ?
Now as we all know a season is 46 matches and with 26 wins 12 draws and 8 losses SHEFFIELD UNITED are now a PREMIERSHIP team scoring 76 goals and letting in 46 for a + 30 goal difference and getting 90 points will do that.

Now after your admittedly good last 20 matches you lot managed to win 13 draw 13 and lose 20 :o scoring 39 and letting in 52 for a -15 GD.
But you did manage 6 away wins and we only got 11 so we didn't double you there oh did i say DOUBLE :hihi:

I am very interested Waffer to know where the extra MILLION came from to increase the wage bill..Dont yell it too loud mate because we wouldnt want the bank manager to know now would we

Just stating facts Ash .
You lot just hope we get hammered every week, what you going to go on about if and when we dont ATTENDANCES..LOL
And really I think after 12 years in the league championship we would rather be playing the Man U's Chelseas and Liverpools and getting hammered rather than drawing with the likes of colchester, Hulls and Burnleys, think about it, you know i am talking sense :hihi: :hihi:

Of course we could always look at it from the perspective that United have got the season coming up that is equivalent to the one we've just had in the Championship . . . . less money than the competition, holes in the squad and a point to prove . . .

If, this time next year, you can say that your penultimate result relegated the three teams below you, and your final result actually moved you up two places away from the relegation zone, then I'm sure, in the cold light of day, you will see that as a positive result - Pompey fans certainly aren't complaining, nor were the Baggies last season.

Realistically, I think that we can expect to finish mid-table, although if injuries roll for us, and we manage to continue some of the form that we've shown towards the end of the season, then we have an outside chance of finish in the top eight, which would be no mean feat!!!

6th is only a few points away from 8th so if we are good enough to finish 8th a little more effort/luck could bring us 6th place.

This is not a good division, it's nearer to 1st division standard than Premiership in reality. There are no great players in it, just some very good ones that get snapped up by Premiership clubs in the hope that they can become great.

Brian Clough once said that football is a simple game made complicated by idiots, how true he was. We need a balanced squad, few injuries and a lot of effort it's as simple as that. Experimentation is for the training ground and reserve matches, remember KISS (keep it simple stupid).

I have high hopes for next season based on the way we finished this season, start as we finished and anything could happen.

Angelus thinks that watching a game on sky gives you a better view of the game than watching it with your own eyes in the stands.

As a United supporter it's very refreshing to read your cool, analytical, non-hysterical postings. You achieve this without slagging off the opposition. I thank you and look forward to more of the same. I also hope that Wednesday DO make major gains next year as well as United consolidating.

Thanks mate, I'm not a big one for daft tribal divides - Wednesday are my team and always will be, but some of my best mates grew up as and are United fans - doesn't make them a different species !!! We've got a good chance next year, so have you - I've said it a lot recently (both on here and with oxygen!!) - but sensible use of the funds available will be the key - I've heard that we have £750k to splash and you lot have £10m - not too dissimilar in our respective divisions I think !!

The subject has been done to death recently, but spending money really is the key - although I think that £3m on Cameron Jerome and however much is being touted for Lescott (I think £5m ??) would not be money well spent bearing in mind where you are going and where you are going from.

IMO United might have to content themselves with being a Yo-Yo club for a couple of years - but realistically there are a good number of successful clubs in the Prem that started off that way (Bolton, Middlesborough etc) - I'd certainly settle for it if it was my blue and white wizards !!!!
