Just wondering if anybody on here used to go to the Capitol and what they thought of it. I loved it and wish it was still open..:mad: :( :(

Capitol was the first nightclub I ever went to. Im talking at least 7 years ago. I loved it.

My god! I though this place had been forgotten!! It was where I started my clubbing days, Dancin on the stage til all hours! I had some of the best times in this place and soo wish it was still open. I miss those days.......:thumbsup:

Yep me too.... Captial was good!!. There was always that crazy lass who started on the dance floor first....they must have paid her??

Yeah I remember Capitol - went in there on the day we left school :)

crazy lass had beaded hair I think, brownish, baggy trouses. she was good mind!! top dancer! always got on the dance floor first and always got people in the mood....

i remember me and my bezzy mate at the time when we were in last year of school went, and got plastered on vodka and coke at a £1 a shot, in bright pink glasses, i had to get her carried home by a lad that lived a few doors away, but later i was also sick all over her clothes and my bedroom floor, my mum thought it was funny, we had to go to school the following day as it was a tuesday night. I also remember she had a black dress on and it was see thro in the uv lights and you could see her white pants! he he he he he

o the laughs, also went in on my 18th with my brother and his best mate, and got free drinks.

I went in there a few times when i was 17-18 (about 10 years ago). Dont actually remember that much about the place tho!

Me too. My mates were the ones who enjoyed it and i obviously tagged along. Place was ok in general and if it was open now i'd guess it would be another drug den of a night club.

We used to go on Tuesday nights... was awesome!

We started off at The Globe when they'd just started selling flavoured vodkas.. we were skiving off uni and preceded to get blotto and then and up in Capitol...

I seem to remember there being nice bar maids and dancers on podiums behind the bar..

oh and the sloping toilets too...

I remember dancing on the raised dancefloor absolutely hammered on castaways, I got my foot stuck under the railings and was too embarrassed to tell anyone so just stood there dancing with my arms My mates twigged and were laughing their heads off whilst trying to free my foot. I had to take my boots off in the end and the free my boot!!!! Absolutely hilarious!!!! It was the talk of school for weeks after that!!! :hihi: :loopy: :hihi: :loopy:

I only went in a couple of times so I can't really remember it, but that was about 10 years ago, I drunk & slept since then.

But I was more of a regular in Uropa across the road from there!

Tuesday nights when i was about 15 - supposed to be student night but it was all kids from my school. Great days

Same here. I was absolutely bladdered and didn't know how I got home.

It was one of the first clubs I went to and I never went back! lol! My mate got offered drugs in the first ten mins and that kinda put me off!

Did i ever go to Capitol Nightclub every friday night for 3 years (1994-1997) never missed it house music dance and the chill out area what a great time i had

Bit of history... the space where Capitol became a club was originally a dodgy cheap suit place called Capitol suits. The place was bought by the Baxendales who used to runs Rebels (tiny rock club up 40 flights of steps near markets) & went onto run Niche...

After Capitol it was briefly Area 51 & then taken over to become Zero & now Plug where its quite a credible club with reasonable nights...

so now you know!
