Remember Going To Radio Sheffield Back In The Seventies.it Was Just Up From Redgates.is It Furnival Gate?just Down From Council Offices.well You Could Meet Stars There Of The 70s.i Met The Strawbs There And Got Their Autograph.plus Many Others,who Did You See Down There?

That would have been Radio Sheffield's small studios on Norfolk Street. I remember walking past it many times as a kid (after visiting Redgates) and trying to pluck up the courage to go in to see if there were any 'stars' in there :)

As a teenager I went down on Sat mornings and spoke to Bryan Ferry
and the Four Tops one morning.
Ferry was bored by the whole thing but at least he did speak to me,
he asked about concert venues in Sheffield.
At that time there was only the City Hall and Students Union !!
The Tops were always in Sheffield in the 70's and were a bit more
interested.
