View Full Version : 2 cars have just been broken into on Evelyn Road, crookes riptony 26-03-2006, 22:48 so annoying all i saw was the backlights of the car speeding off. police are now on the hunt Mr Prime 26-03-2006, 23:40 Someone tried to break into my Range Rover once but I was sleeping in the back, having been ejected by the wife. I crept forward and released the handbrake, knocking him over and rolled onto him. After a minute I switched her on and drove off as he lay there shouting and writhing. After a short drive I returnded to see an ambulance driving away escorted by a police car. Bit of good luck I thought. riptony 26-03-2006, 23:41 Someone tried to break into my Range Rover once but I was sleeping in the back, having been ejected by the wife. Lol, I love that serves him right though.:hihi: SallyLaLaLa 27-03-2006, 07:36 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny. Mr Prime 27-03-2006, 07:51 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny. Well we did have a chuckle about it afterwards. I would not have let it kill him and besides that was the risk he took. I did not pursue the matter so he may have got away without a charge, having been taught a better lesson. sheffbag 27-03-2006, 15:12 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny. err yes it is besdies that what would have happened if the poor defenceless scum had cut a vein smashing a window that could potentially maimed him but he still did it or the glass had gone in the eyes of the guy sleeping in the car. Well done sir, it wasnt your fault the handbrake was very sensitive was it neeeeeeeeeek 27-03-2006, 15:44 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny I know, only potentially maim, a bit slack really, should have reversed over him a couple of times to make sure. PerlOfWisdom 27-03-2006, 16:10 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny. I once read about someone who hated his neighbour, so went to cut the brake lines on his Austin Maxi. He cut the suspension pipe instead, the suspension collapsed onto his head and killed him. saxon51 27-03-2006, 16:14 I once read about someone who hated his neighbour, so went to cut the brake lines on his Austin Maxi. World's first, and only, Austin Sombrero.:) Uncle_Vic 27-03-2006, 18:27 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny. Another pathetic do-gooder. Just what the world needs.:loopy: Well done Mr P. Andy 27-03-2006, 20:13 Yeah, doing something that could potentially kill or maim someone. Lol, yeah, really funny. If the guy had stolen the car, and got chased by the police, he could have easily killed a passer by through dangerous driving. To be honest, if he'd been killed it would have been no great loss. The world's not exactly short of car thieves is it? melter 27-03-2006, 20:23 A few years ago a friends car was stolen. He hadn't been driving it as the brakes were dodgy. The thief crashed the car due to the brakes and injured himself. My friend was told that the police were actually considering charging him and if the thief was to take out a private prosecution, the police would supply technical details of the faulty brakes for his/her solicitor. The mind boggles!! :( Andy 27-03-2006, 20:32 A few years ago a friends car was stolen. He hadn't been driving it as the brakes were dodgy. What was the charge the police were considering. As far as I know you don't owe car theives a duty of care! melter 27-03-2006, 20:51 Even the police get into trouble if they injure the scum, so we've no chance! Because the car was parked on the road, the police considered it was dangerous (because of the brakes) So my friend could have been charged with 'endangering someones life'! (he wasn't) He was told that if the car had been on his drive, or off-road, they wouldn't have bothered him. It's the fact that they were willing to help the thiefs prosecution that angers me the most!! Oh, and the scum removed a housebrick from the front of each front wheel prior to stealing it! Braindead!! |
