Can anyone help me with problem?
I need to download something on my laptop, but it says that I'm in 'safe mode' or it could be that my installer isn't working properly.

If anybody can help me out, either reply on the forum or you can email me at fivestar4you@aol.com

cheers,
Dean

Can you be more specific? What says you are in 'safe mode'? What are you trying to download? Through what program?

If you mean you have booted up into Windows Safe Mode, then just restart your computer.

If your PC keeps re-booting in 'Safe Mode' then it can indicate that something is very sick.

Safe Mode comes up with a 'minimum' set of Windows functionality that is designed to work in most circumstances, even when something is wrong with Windows. However, a lot of software won't run properly under Safe Mode and you're supposed to get the problem resolved.

Are you getting any other information dispplayed when Safe Mode starts?

Hey 5Star...

Ok to stand any chance of helping at this point we need to know a LOT more detail...

- Windows version (Millenium, 98, 2000, XP home/pro?... etc..)?
- What was the last program you installed recently
- Do you have anti virus installed and when was it last updated?
- Have you been running "Windows Update" regularly to get all the latest patches.. and when did you last do this
- What were you doing when the system last worked properly?
- Any other useful information?

The more info' you provide the more likely we're going to be able to help identify what could be a cause.
