Single parent family holidays

Hi

I am wanting to take my 5 year old son anway at some point in the August Summer holidays. I have looked on the internet and there are various companies who 'specialise' in arranging single parent holidays. Has anyone been on them or could recommend a place/company. Only thing that was putting me off was only being able to have a room and sharing with other families. What if you dont get on?
