View Full Version : Has anyone tried capsiplex? or any other diet pills
Secret-Eyez 07-05-2012, 09:29 Ive been using capsiplex for 2 days now (todays my second day) ive tried calory counting on its own and lost nothing!! Which is frustraiting because im 5ft 2 and weigh 11st 6! I feel like a right rolley poley....
im planning to do zumba (on the xbox) every 2nd day as i have dodgy knee's and ankles which cause horrific pain if i do it everyday.
Has anyone else tried capsiplex? Did it work for you?
Or have you tried something else that worked?

Secret-Eyez 07-05-2012, 11:34 Thankyou for your reply but that doesn't really answer my question....lol.
Plus I'm a single mum. I have no spare time to attend gyms ect, the only time I get is when my daughter has gone to bed, which means I then do a 40min session on Zumba.
HeadingNorth 07-05-2012, 15:57 Capsicum contains capsaicin, caffeine, niacin and piperine.
Eat chillis and drink diet cola. Save yourself thirty pounds a month.
Secret-Eyez 07-05-2012, 15:58 Lol I wish I could. But I physically can't stand chilli...
HeadingNorth 07-05-2012, 16:00 Lol I wish I could. But I physically can't stand chilli...
If that were true, you wouldn't be able to stand the pills either. Capsaicin is the same ingredient in both.
I'd like to point you to a website which reviews the efficacy of Capsiplex, but I can't find one. All the websites which are called "capsiplexreview.com" and a vast array of similar names, are in fact advertisements owned by the manufacturer. I know nothing about whether capsaicin is an efficient weight-loss compound, but I find it hard to believe without seeing a review from someone who doesn't work for the company.
Secret-Eyez 07-05-2012, 16:07 Because they are coated you don't actually taste the chilli in them.
So for me they are fine.
I know where your coming from regarding reviews, that's why I posted here instead. Because they are able to be bought from holland and barrett I kno someone else somewhere will have tried them.

Doesn't Diet Cola contain Aspartame? I heard that it is to be avoided:(

Here's the bad news...
there's no magic pill that's going to help you lose weight.
Here's the good news...
be a bit more careful about the type of foods you eat i.e. avoid fatty and sugary things, reduce your portion sizes and take some moderate exercise every day and you will lose weight easily.
Moderate exercise could be something as simple as doing a bit more walking instead of going by car or public transport.
The biggest obstacle in your way is probably life-style related, not calorie related. Think about that. And good luck.
cressida 04-02-2013, 15:39 The fat-blocker pills like Xenical never worked for me, what would do - if I could find one - would be an appetite suppressant
anyone know of one?

It's not supposed to be used as an appetite suppressant, but it will suppress your appetite.
You may find yourself looking longingly at eggs (in shells) birds and small rodents though.
Shef_Fitness 04-02-2013, 16:38 We sell weight loss pills.
You'll certainly lose lots of pounds if you buy these, and I'll gain a few.

You sell a product you have no faith in. ?

Wow, gobsmacked. !

Hard work + good quality food is the way to achieve outcomes (and treats)
But weight loss products are aimed at people who do not want to put in the effort and are looking for a quick fix.
Hence these businesses have multi million pound turnovers
harestone 04-02-2013, 17:00 i just can't believe you'd sell something you know doesn't work, but each to their own.

Exercise and healthy eating works. Crappy pills from H&B don't!
What sort of food do you eat?
Join slimming world, works well for a few people I know but you have to put the effort in. Weighing yourself after 2 days is pretty pointless, weigh yourself once a week at the same time in the same clothes.

It's a good point.
Shef_fitness repeatedly posts that clients can achieve their weight loss and body goals by eating whatever they want and doing one workout a week, which I, and others find a somewhat unlikely claim.
To believe such a claim obviously requires some faith in the integrity of the person making it, so when that person cheerfully admits to selling weight loss pills to clients, that they know full well do not work, we have to wonder if the other claim is accurate too.
Perhaps Shef-fitness could clear this up with a response?

see mate - killing yourself for an hour a week and eating what you want was your advice last week
do you think you have any credibility left on here?
Shef_Fitness 04-02-2013, 22:30 It clearly says on the front page of my own website that anyone buying weight loss products would certainly lose a few pounds, and I'd gain a few at the same time. Clearly anyone buying weight loss products from me would need their heads looking at.
At the end of the day, if you were a car sales person and you had a nearly new Merc for sale at £25,000 (or whatever they cost) and a cut and shut job (front end a vauxhall and the back end a ford welded together) and it was on sale for £50,000 and someone was silly enough to pay £50,000 for the cut and shut car, then many car sales people would be happy to make a vast profit.
With regards my own claim of one session per week + results, yes I still stand by this and I have people attending class and people who do Personal Training who are seeing the outcomes, many of whom are eating exactly what they like.
At the end of the day the proof is in the pudding and I even offered people a non payment option, ie, people don't pay if the sessions don't work. As I'm not a gambling person I would only put an offer in such as this if I was certain that I was going to win. Anyone doing the 4 sessions would have seen outcomes and so would have paid.
Clearly I am saying that weight loss products are garbage, would anyone seriously buy these products from me when I've clearly stated on my website that I think there are better options.
When it comes to weight loss products, at the end of the day its a multi million pound industry and people are paying through the nose for things that are quick fix.
Do they work? take 2 groups, one group that takes part in physical activity on a regular basis (ie, spinning, bootcamps or running based activities) and another group that take slimming/weight loss products.
Which of the above 2 groups are likely to be fitter and which of the 2 groups are likely to be fatter?
Did you seriously believe I actually sold these products? I was emphasising that its better to do physical activity and eat good quality food (which not all of my own customers do - many do enjoy the eat what you like eating plan)

You said you did, so don't be surprised if people assume you do sell them :)
Anyway, to cut to the chase and clear this up, are you saying that you don't sell these products?

Never have and never will.
I would not touch these things with a barge pole (and that goes for other fitness supplements) and so would never attempt to sell them to my customers

That would actually look cool. I would go with a Ford on the front and vaux on the bum area.

not what you said last last week, you distinctly said "anyone can eat what they like and still loose weight with my training, one day a week, eat what you like, get thin"
the rest of your post doesn't interest me other than to show you don`t understand supplements either.
