It would depend on the yarn that is was made from. You could use a cotton mix with a bit of stretchiness, and it would be perfect :) .
Just checked, and the yarn suggested in the pattern is a mix of 99% cotton and 1% lycra.

Boots - I never even noticed the boots :) I was too busy admiring the skill that went into knitting that bikini ;)

Yes and yes. But you don't get to see those pictures until you've demonstrated that you can knit, purl and do double crochet. It's part of knitters' law, I'm afraid...
