I'm having another go at making the lovely Clapotis (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTclapotis.html)scarf from Knitty. I want to use some gorgeous Lorna's Laces yarn (50% wool, 50% silk), but can't make my mind up which colour to go for.
The options are:

What do you think?
Cool Scarf! I went for Aslan, first impression was Tuscany, but after looking at the pictures from the website next to the pictures of the yarn, i thought Aslan! Any of those would look good though!

Oooh, that one is lovely! Some of the colours I want aren't at Get Knitted, and I can't find them anywhere else. Fortunately, I have a friend in California who can buy them for me and send them over.
What are you using yours for?

Might do the curly whirly scarf as it only takes 1 skein.

You should learn. There are links to some excellent web sites and books for beginner knitters in the sticky 'Recommneded Links' thread at the top of the page, and people on here will be able to help you out if you get stuck. There's also a Stitch n Bitch group which meets in Sheffield, who would also be able to help you out. The information about it is in this (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=85756&highlight=stitch+bitch)thread.
Go on, buy some wool and some needles. You know you want to... :) .

I vote for Aslan. I did like the seaside one it was nice but i like the Aslan one better. My daughter loves the scarf that she goin to ask her nan to knit her one. I would do it her but the last time i ever did any knitting was at junior school when our year had to knitt a square or three to make a blanket for some oap home, so now i lost the nack and wont know what to do.

You should give it a go :) . It's really addictive.
I was the same, though. I hadn't knitted in ages, after my mum taught me the basics when I was ten or eleven. It took a while to get back into it (couldn't even remember the difference between knit and purl at first), but it does come back to you. There are some really good books for beginners in the 'Recommended Links' sticky thread at the top of the page, and people on here would be able to help you out too. You could even try one of the Stitch n Bitch groups in Sheffield.
Thanks for the votes. I've provisionally decided to go for 'Aslan', but I'm being really tempted by the other beautiful colours on the Lorna's Laces web site. Maybe I should make two...
