What are peoples thoughts on David Icke?

Where do I start?

I think he suffers from mental illness. I spent a lot of time reading his stuff a few years ago and it is like a lot of other stuff such as the da vinci code, celestine prophecy etc. Keep your wits about you when reading it.

I would find him more plausible if he didn't have the tendency to have a hissy fit and be a general ass at times. He shows no self control and surely if he was some kind of prophet, guru, whatever, he would have a bit more patience and less anger towards others. Which makes me think he has a mental illness.

The guy is a genius.

Check out a book called 'Them' by Jon Ronson. He spends 12 months with extremists such as Sheikh Omar Bakri (who advocates violence against Jews, including Ronson), Rev Ian Paisley and David Icke among others.

Well worth getting.

ive got a couple of his books, and cant recommend them highly enough. an information-packed read blending in all sorts of myths and legends across the globe, blending everything in together into the ultimate conspiracy....involving shape-shifting, part-human part-lizard, blood sucking freaks from the 'lower fourth dimension', who are ultimately responsible for princess di's death, the shooting of jfk, satanic child abuse, 9/11, and birmingham losing 7-0.

and in amongst all this madness he manages to describe at least some of the truths behind who controls what on this planet.

My concern is What if he is speaking the truth? At what stage does someone turn from a credible source to a raving nutcase? Or do you reckon he's just overdosed on too many episodes of V?

He isn't harmless though. If someone has these views and opinions and carried about their business in a peaceful manner, I might take it more seriously. David Icke, however, gets angry easily and behaves in an outrageous manner when polite people don't want his ideas forced down their throats.
I wouldn't call that the behaviour of a sane man.

I can't understand Icke.
In the eighties he seemed quite a respectable BBC News sports presenter then he turned weird with his outlandish views and appearance on the Wogan chat show. He would have been a good guest on an Alan Partridge chat show!

i dunno how mad he is, but he's a busy fella, giving marathon talks all over the world, and i reckon he's partially correct when talking about the manipulation of society by various factions to their own ends.

the lizard/jewish accusation is bollards, he mistakenly believed a crap source years ago and has been paying for it since...people in positions of power can exert considerable influence, and they do on a daily basis, through financial and media-based companies. dave likes to see them as lizards. i see them as w*nkers.

whether those folk are jewish or not doesnt matter; some are, some arent, what does matter is that like 'the old boys network', llinks between some of these dudes exist, although whether they are 'in on the same game' remains unclear.

Mental illness without a doubt. In serious need of some in-depth psychoanalysis to get to the bottom of it all. That'll never happen, though. He'll just carry on tipping us off about the shapeshifting lizards and turquoise energy

In spite of the above, I've no time for the man. I could do a few days with a few mates on magic mushrooms, acid and special K, decide to try and find out 'what its all about', and talk to the world about the lizards. Thats all it needs.

I once saw that on a documentary about the guy. on the same show he walked passed a rather large gym, peered in and pointed out a row of people on treadmills. he said something to the effect of 'look at this lot, all running fast to go nowhere - and people say I'M crazy'. i thought he had a point to be honest :hihi:
