Anyone know how I can go about taking part in a clinical trial? It's getting to the stage now where I'm so desperate for work that after 4 months of searching I just can't be arsed any more. I'm a student, I need the money! :help:

Covance in harrogate do regular testing, look at their website and they have a list of criteria you must meet and an application form...be warned though that not all tests pay good money. Also phase 2 and 3 trials pay far less than phase 1 as the percieved risk is smaller. I wouldnt count on it as a money making scheme as in many cases the payout only just covers your travelling expenses for the check ups.
however, whilst out and about in town last weekend I noticed a number of "staff wanted" signs in the pubs along west street and in a couple of shops in the town centre if thats more your thing!

This site says it pays for blood donations I know nothing at all about it, but I assume it would be safer than drug trials. http://www.trials4us.co.uk/blood/

I'd suggest signing up to biotrax.com it does cost to join but it's worth it, and they've got email and websites and phone numbers for nearly all the places doing studies.
(also tells you the ones that are paying out a lot!)
Covance seem good to me, I went there last year, the place is nice and the payments seem good. Although girls, they hardly take anyone who isn't sterilised or post-menopausal but do have some occasionally.
