Options? Rich 16-04-2004, 11:49 Uni canteen? Never mind. nomme 16-04-2004, 11:57 No1 Oriental Buffet. (Nr Ponds Forge) Lots of space. Good food. Cheap. Nomme Schizophonic 16-04-2004, 13:20 Don't think Buffet is the way to go. Some where thats is a bit of 'upper class' maybe? fnkysknky 16-04-2004, 13:23 Thought all you students were skint - you're always moaning that you can't afford anything other than beans on toast.... ;) Schizophonic 16-04-2004, 14:35 I'm not a going to get a half decent answer am i here? fnkysknky 16-04-2004, 14:36 Well some sort of clue on the type of food you want etc. might be an idea. scatterheart 16-04-2004, 17:31 We went to Nando's on West Street for our end of first year meal, there were 15 of us I think. Have a look at the thread about Nando's for more info, it's somewhere on this board :) MumphitMan 16-04-2004, 17:38 Have a word with Mr Khan from the Bombay. He would be able to give over the whole upstairs for a reasonable group. Food cheep if you like Indian food. It is also very nice. Schizophonic 17-04-2004, 00:20 Is there any Greek places where you can smash plates? Or is that Italian? DUnno.... I'm all open to suggestions, but its got to be around the Town area, where we can get transport or walk to. fnkysknky 17-04-2004, 08:57 The Mad Greek 117 Fitzwilliam St Sheffield S1 4JP Tel: 0114 272 6000 That should do ya - I know a few people who've taken big groups there before. It's just down from Devonshire Green. Sandra Spice 17-04-2004, 14:50 Mad Greek is great for groups - I've taken many there. There's loads of good groups restaurants on West Street & on London Road i'd recommed La Salsa as Chrsitina always gets folks up & salsaing after the meal. The guy at Marble Court (formerly Top Wok) on The Moor has always been good with us too. Depends how many folks you're looking at taking I guess. Jayne 19-04-2004, 09:25 We went to KPasa (italian/spanish - west st) as a group of nearly 50, pre ordered meals - bought drinks by table and it all worked very well. |
