Wincobank is no better or worse than any other estate in Sheffield, sure it has its fair share of retards who drag the neighbourhood down but I'd like to think these numpties are outnumbered by the decent and honest residents of the area.

True - easy access to facilities on that side of the city, but it's more difficult if you want to get to town by bus. By car it ain't too bad, but to manage your life based on the reliability of the 93 bus... (which, to its credit, does run regularly throughout the day)

Yeah..its a complete toliet! :loopy:

Personally, I've lived in Wincobank for over two years now and never had any problems. Some areas are very nice. Some not so. I live in lower wincobank (at the mo!), and as Rich says, the nice people far outweigh the numpties.

So...

Pros: Abdul covered these. Quite a lot is within walking distance of Meadowhall (which means access to Supertram) and also very convenient for Motorway access.

Cons: Occasional reports of trouble from lower wincobank.

Post or PM me the area your looking at for further opinion, if you like?

Oh yes and Firth Park is a highly sought after area!:loopy:

I have lived here for over 40 years so I think I should have a good idea of the area.
First - of all yes the decent people outweigh the low lifes a thousandfold.
Second - we have no more trouble than other areas and 99% of it is caused by people from other areas.
Third - Unfortunately we do not have any control over who is moved into the area.

I am sick of people slagging the area off and tarring us all with the same brush.

Hear,hear!

Amazing how people can comment about Wincobank when they've never lived there. I'd take advise from people who know rather than people who think they know.

*take deep breaths Anj1364 ;) *

What a ludicrous statement! Of course it is- better or worse- u decide.
Whats the point of answering a question on the forum like this? :hihi:

I would suggest that (dare I say it) WIncobank is WORSE than the Lodgemoor estate, and BETTER perhaps than Page Hall.

Anyhows- its fair to say that it aint pleasing on the eye, which in my humble opinion would put it in the category of "dump".

I would suggest that the council started building and putting some of the low lifes they dump on us on the Lodge Moor Estate etc and give us a break.

Lodge Moor Estate .

I'm not being funny, but are there two Lodge Moors in the city?

I thought one was near Fulwood / around there, and not near Wincobank.
