would anyone know a website or another means of finding what films were showing in a particular year and month in the 1960's. In particular i am interested to find what was on at the Gaumont and ABC cinemas in APRIL 1966.

Cinema programmes were all in the Star and you can see old issues in the library in Surrey Street - can remember going there many years ago and being given the actual paper copies to look through but I assume they are on microfilm or microfiche now. Local studies section used to be upstairs in the main library building
