Just seen this movie today - thought it was excellent, something slightly more original than most of the stuff that Hollywood "churns out" these days. Anyone else seen it?

yeah, thought it was quite good - its release was delayed for ages though :( which probably didn't help it at the box office. Bloody terrorists :( and then gun men hiding in cars ;(

Lighthouse looks very promising too :))

Loved Phone Booth a tense psychological thriller that I've watched twice and found it just as mesmerising as the first time

i watched a while ago and thought it was one of the worse movies released this year-it was boring- to say it was meant to be a thriller it didnt thrill me much, rather the opposite it sent me to sleep.

if your looking for a good phone related movie watch cellular- good movie,

or dont say a word both tons better

I saw it and thought it was a very good film! A nice change from the typical "rubbish story, expensive special effects" movies.

I liked it. It's the sort of film that Hitchcock would have made into a masterpiece

Hitchcock's big ambition was to set a film entirely in a phone box the closest he ever got was a film called Lifeboat but this film is inspired by that idea.

I watched it last night and thought it one of the best films I've seen for some time. A well-written, psychological thriller without, as someone has said, all those special effects which seem to detract from the plot.

I doubt if it was a particularly cheap film to make, as New York is the most expensive city in the world to hire for filming, or so I hear. Nor sure if I understood the bit about the rifle bullet though. Surely they could have examined the pimps body and discovered it wasn't a bullet from a pistol, but I'm just trying to pick holes. Excellent film.

I think it is ok. Not a classic but certainly watchable more than once.

As Keifer Sutherland (the sniper) wasn't caught, it sort of leaves things open for a Phone Booth 2, doesn't it?

I've just spoiled the ending for those who haven't seen it yet:loopy:

Just seen this on CH4. Nice film.

The guy who injected Colin Farrell at the end of the movie, was it a fatal injection?

No, I think it was a relaxent.

I thought it was a great movie. I'v seen it several times.
The dvd has an interview with CF and he said if he never sees another pone box again - it would be too soon.
Several hours a day for 2 weeks chatting into a dead phone. I'd consider that a form of torture - holding a phone and having no one to talk to. :hihi:

I also thought it was quite ironic, how the pshyco snipper chap was lecturing CF on his inhumanity to his fellow man, and then shoots dead a perfect stranger (the pimp guy).

Excellent (twisty) ending though!

There's another "cheaper" version - "destiny stands still", i'm sure it's a woman.

I thought Phone Box was pretty good, and Kieffer as a bad guy!!.

That'll be Liberty Stands Still, starring Wesley Snipes and Linda Fiorentino. It's a bit poo.

Couldn't remember the actual name - and Destiny's usually a safe bet. Cheers. Yep it is poo.

Yeah, I had the bad luck of catching it late night on tv a few years back. It was a great cure for insomnia :/

Have seen it 3 times, and would still watch it again. It's a tense, well acted, psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end. Colin Farrell is very underated as an actor, and really shows his talent in this. For another good film starring CF (though a completely different genre) try "In Bruges".

You need either some lessons in spelling, or a crash course in humour.
