Also, what constitutes a pervert anyway in this day and age. The man in the paper didn't appear to be very specific about his defenition.

It can be more difficult to spot them than you think. One has been marauding the streets of Sheffield disguised as a school for a while now.

A good way to detect them is by smell. Apparently they smell like hammers.

Erm I think you can tell some people who are wierd sometimes. This bloke near my house always looked wierd to me and it turns out that he was a peadophile (or however you spell it).

I understand that I sound pretty shallow saying that. Maybe it wasn't just his appearence though and maybe it was his body language that made me think there was something off ...

Hmm, I think most people merge the two together - pervert seems to have the same meaning as peadophile now for some reason.

Everyone has some sort of perversion i'm sure. Everybody has got to be into something haven't they?

It seems that if your 'perversion' is socially unnacceptable (ie peadophilia), you get called a pervert.

Otherwise, I think you can escape that particular tag.

Im always quite wary of strangers when im walking on my own. If someone is walking towards me and looks slightly strange (!) I will cross over to the other side. I would just rather be careful!

There is an element of urban myth growing around this one. The facts are that a paediatrician in Newport, Gwent had 'paedo' sprayed on her front door, possibly by some teenager, and decided to move somewhere else as a result of this. Bad enough, but there wasn't any mob involved as far as I know.
