This isa real long shot, but I'm trying to get hold of a print I had when I was in my teens. I know it comes from a gallery in Amsterdam as I remember that being printed in the border. It is quite stylized and shows what is obviously the top of a very tall building with a stiff loop of rope coming off it, like a tightrope walker would use but in a circle, not a straight line. A man is walking around the rope - I think he is dressed as a pierrot or clown and I seem to remember a big cat (tiger, leopard?) watching him from the building. I think one of the cat's young is on the rope with the man. The sky behind is very blue.

I've tried googling for it but no luck. Has anyone any idea about this or am I just rambling?

Youíre not kidding thatís a long shot. I only had to rack my brains for 4 hours before I realised where Iíd seen that painting, (having a drink in Marples after work in 1990!) it was a ballerina, not a clown and the painting was called

"Dream for Rosa" by Michael Parkes.

Thank you so much - you have just made my day, week and month. However did you remember that? I reckon that between us all on this forum we know everything.

Thats one advantage for having a photographic memory, I guess that was one of the rare days I put some film in. :D
