When I was a lad growing up in Grenoside there was a little wood just near the Norfolk Arms. We used to call it the Food Office and it looked as though at some time there was a house their. I don't recall how it got its name but if anyone has any information regarding the little wood at the back off Greno Crescent I would be grateful.

the food office was at the rear of nether crescent and i believe was at the heart of the rationing during ww2. it was a public building and older people always call the land the food 0ffice. hope this helps

No dont think its ever been built on still there between Norfolk Arms and the garage opposite the Bottom Red Lion
