If thats not animal cruelty I dont know what is...
Did you watch the spectacle that was this documentary tonight?

If not, you missed being treated to the fattest pets in the UK, and their stupid owners who are killing them albeit with 'love'

Why did some of the owners lie about what they were feeding their pets as well, as it was perfectly obvious to anyone who has vision that they were over-feeding their pet apart from the cat who was on the diet food which I still found suspicious.

I saw the trailer and opted to not tune in. Parading ignorance and stupidity - like there was a shortage of it or something.

"It's me or the dog" is bad enough. People being chased out of bed by a Pomeranian 'dog'? Had to stop watching that too.

"listen mate, you weigh in at about 15 times the dogs weight. What are you so scared of? Pick him up and stick him in the laundry basket you great wuss."

People who continuously indulge their animals get everything they deserve. The poor animals don't.

Totally agreed Phan!

One rottweiler weighed in at 12 stones on the programme which is more than my missus- the vet needed 3 more people to lift it onto the operating table to operate on it.. thats how fat that pet was.

You missed the bit as well where the owners took the dog for grooming at the local pet parlour- only to get told off by its owner... The dog owner took umbridge to the dog being called fat- which it is- and got all hissy about it.

Make me laugh it really did :)

The dog that went to the pet groomer should be taken away from her obviously brain dead owner.
'Our dog is well looked after and is checked regularily by a vet and isn't fat'.
I think that's how the stupid owner replied to the statement that she'd got a fat dog. I just hope that everyone who see's her out and about calls her cruel and comiserates with her dog for having such useless owners.

On this morning they were talking about dog weddings.

You can get dresses, cakes, a ceremony....

I mean...

DOG WEDDINGS.

The king charles spaniel with the splayed legs was kind of cute tho. At least two of these canine indulgers were on incapacity benefit for no good reason I could see - good to see all our taxes going on doggy fat snax and vets bills.

I think somepeople do use dogs as biddable people or even child substitutes. You see it a lot in children who always want to dress cats and dogs up, rampantly anthropomorphising.

People who carry on that sort of thinking into adulthood have got a problem, but it impacts more on the animal than it does on them.

Yes and their bank balance! There is an 'animal weddings industry'!!

I knew once they started letting the gays get hitched the floodgates would be opened :P

I do like the idea of rampantly anthropomorphising. That's what I'm going to say next time someone asks me what I'm doing later.

I watch this today as i wanted to view it since ive got a rottweiler (but mine is not overweight one bit) as i seen the poor dog when the trailer was shown for the program. How thick is this woman to think that her dog is happy like that and saying the dog was not fat, she was killing this poor dog and even the shop owner had the guts to show how other people must have felt.

But i like to know why the hubby did not but in, he let his wife do all the "im not killing her" and "she not fat" talk i think he agrees with other people but to scare to say anything as he did not stick up for her that for sure. And it made me giggle too when she said "what the dog asks for the dog get", i mean come on did you hear the dog speek or did i miss something.

The other rottweiler who had it legs done thankfully the owners did do something about but it amazes me that the first rottweiler's legs did not buckle under its masive body. And seen the other pets too but also the other owners did something about the health of the pet so why not the other woman with the rottweiler. i know she not got kids has she did say, but my god if this was how she treat her dog then wonder if she do the same with a kid.

Having watched the programme with my eyes wide open and my jaw to the floor, I've now decided that animal 'feeders' should be prosecuted.

I also think the scary 12 stone Rottweiler owner (who was potentially far scarier than the dog) should be given a lethal injection for her part in creating an 'egg on legs' dog.

Anyone who allows their pet to become so fat should be dealt with using appropriate legislation and subject to imprisonment if neccessary.

What revolting creatures! (the people, not the animals)

It made me feel sick!
