I was in a pizza shop recently and thought i'd try something a little different than the usual vegetarian and cheese & tomato. I ordered a Doner Special and as old Dick would say it was Truly Scrumptious! . . . crispy doner meat, sweet chillies, cheese & tomato sauce!!
Get it every time now!

I love mushrooms on pizza... Mind you, I'm more into garlic bread than pizza!

Whats the deal with garlic bread? . . i've never seen the point in filling yourself up with bread before a pizza? lol.

Id choose pepperoni (mmmm) almost everytime, unless you're getting one from the pizza plaze near me, then it has to be Chicken and Mushroom!! Yum

love the garlic bread with cheese, but pizza would have to be chicken, sweetcorn and mushroom... MMMmmmm

They do a really nice Tandoori special as well near where i live. That is also amazing! big chunks of chicken and mixture of peppers. mouthwatering!!

Heh, it was my other half who introduced me to kebab pizzas, and I've not looked back since! There's a great pizza place on London Road that does a gorgeous doner and red onion pizza on the best pizza base I've ever tasted. They have some cracking offers on too - our favourite is a 10" garlic bread, chips, 2 cans of pop and any two 10" pizzas for a tenner. You can't go wrong, and there's always plenty left for his pack-up the next day!

Mine would have to be a 12" Dp Veg (Mush, Onion, Sweetcorn, Olives, Tomato) with extra Chillies and Anchovies...

Please tell me where to get the doner pizza's. Kebabs and pizzas are my weakness, but two taste sensations rolled into one then thats got to be pure pleasure on a plate! X

I think most pizza places in Sheffield would do them - two that spring to mind are Toppolis on City Road, and Pizza, Pan and Grills on London Road. There's one in the Wicker that does them too, but I can't remember what it's called...

Crazey, the best doner pizza is at Prime Pizza in Fir Vale, just opposite the church - remember to ask for the Doner special as you get more onions, cheese, peppers etc on it! Also theres a place in Firth Park called Universal, theirs are nice too.

Remember though, once you taste it - theres no going back to usual pizza's!!

A doner special sounds like it should only be eaten after 10 pints of stella! :help:

Hot & Spicy every time. The mix of Pepperoni and Jalepenos is hard to beat.

gorgonzola and red onion makes a nice change if your veggi also black olives and pineapple is divine.

Donner pizza..yes!

There's a pizza shop where I go in Newcastle (where Im from) after a big night out and order a donner pizza for a fiver to be delivered...and they take me home with it! amazing....considering a taxi costs about £7 :)

actually what a good idea - on the way home order a pizza or whatever from somewhere that does home delivery and get them to take you home with your order -class !!!

Sounds weird but I love it.......... pepperoni and pineapple (has to be from pizza hut though - the pepperoni just isn't the same from anywhere else!)

1 - Ham and pineapple
2 - bolognese
3 - Donner meat with chilli base instead of tomato (trust me it's nice)

When we order from Domino's its a large Pick N Mix with Pepperoni, Tandoori Chicken, Bacon and Extra Cheese :clap:

Aside from the resoundingly obvious-Cheese! It has to be salami! One of lifes great debates don't ya think!

I like minced beef, pepperoni and ham.

Some years ago I knew soemone who used to order a 'Vegetarian Pizza with meat'. the logic was that the veggie pizza came with all sorts of goodies and that was the cheapest way to get a monster pizza.

Slightly off topic, I once ordered a large 'meat feast' style pizza when in Fairbanks, Alaska. I kid you not - box appeared that was about 2 feet across. $10. I lived off pizza for about 2 days. :)

My fave was (in non-veggie days) margherita with anchovies and capers.
