Ok, if you were to have a son born on 6th June this year, would you call him Damion?

No, I don't think so. It still has associations with 'The Omen' for me, and didn't Del Trotter call his son Damian? It doesn't really matter though, because whether you like it or not is what's important (I presume it's you who is considering the name?).

Oh what an appropriate choice of name for a boy born on 6/6/6! Added to which, with a Mum called Hels, he could turn out to be a little devil! :hihi:

D'oh! Completely missed the 666 thing :hihi: . In that case, no; definately not. Poor little blighter might as well have an inverted cross emblazoned on his forehead.

I think this falls squarely in to the category of tempting fate.

In fact, I'd be tempted to either induce birth on the 5th or hang on if at all possible to the 7th.... :)

Also avoid playing Beatles records backwards on this date...

You don't look like Mia Farrow by any chance do you?

Beelzibub or Lucifer would be a much better choice I say

No, I would not call a child 'Damion'. Neither would I call one 'Obediah', 'Napthali' or 'Teapot' or indeed a great many things. He is almost certain to endure ridicule, mockery and humiliation as a result of the film previously mentioned. Why not call him Hannibal instead?

Call me ignorant if you like but what relevance does playing Beatles records backwards have on all this 666 bourjois?!

I would.

The Omen is also celebrating it's 30 year anniversary with a re-release on 06/06/06 too........... I'm there.

My son is due on 25 June, and I was telling Mum than if he's early, I just hope he's not born on the 6th - because of the birthdate. She said she'd never heard of the 666 thing (honestly! I don't know what planet she's been living on).

Then when I saw an advert for the re-release of the film Damion me and my friends were joking - would anyone REALLY consider calling him that name if he was born on the 6th???

Rest assured I have already chosen some very nice, normal names for my son - whatever date he's born on

Draggletail is a fine name for a boy Hels, and goes well with most surnames
Draggletail Llewellyn Bowen for example, or Draggletail Smith Blanchard.
Hard to far wrong with Draggletail really :hihi:

Enjoy deciding on the name for your son!

I would NEVER call my son Damien under any circumstances simply because the only Damien I know is an utter fool and I wouldnt want my son to be associated with him.
