im going to be moving out of my family home for the 1st time in the summer, im not a student, so ill have to pay council tax.. is this paid on top of rent? and how much is it..or does it depend on the area?.. need help,..:D

council tax is based on the property you live in and is additional to any rent/mortgage paid.Depending on the band your house falls in,depends on how much you pay per year

Remember, if you live on your own, you can apply for a single person's discount of, I think, 25%.
