Hi
We're looking at moving from the Banner Cross area to Todwick. I've been on UpMyStreet and done the relevant searches on here, and it all looks great. Can anyone who lives in Todwick (or has done) tell me what it's really like? Are the public transport links ok (ie do scheduled buses show up)? Are the schools as good as the (fairly outdated) reports suggest? Is it a nice friendly place (we're nice friendly people ;) )
Thanks
Nimster :)

Wifes parents live in Todwick. It's a pleasant and quiet area - the only downside is the lack of shops and pubs. Todwick Junior school is pretty good by all accounts, and I've also heard good things about the closest comps (Wales & Aston). I'd be quite happy living there, but I can't afford the prices. :(

I have to be honest and say we are moving from Todwick as we find it a souless hole - sorry :(
There is no community feel to the place and it is plagued by HGV vehicles and boy racers constantly charging through it.
The only shop is lacking in every way, the pub half a mile away from the centre of the village is a huge let down and no one talks to you here!
Its awful, a most unfriendly place NOT recommended - and we have tried it for a while now and we are not bad people either!!
Good luck :D
