You do understand the basic principles of inflation don't you? Your wages have also gone up (I would hope) to account for this.

If we go far enough back, there wasn't even pepsi around :O

Inflation is out of sync then, we should all be getting paid more by soft drink standards.

Am i the only one to have seen the ye olde pictures of god drinking pepsi when asked to do so by britney spears?:suspect:

Why ? It's good to communicate.

Actually, my mom was saying the other day... (we were discussing custard tarts, as u do......) How come a box of 4 custard tarts were 99p like 10 years ago, and today, it's still 99p in M&S ?

Somewhere along that timeline, egg tarts dropped out of it and into a blackhole. Doo-doo-doo-doo.... Scary isn't it ?

Also, those 5p or 10p space invader corn snacks are still the same price ! I found some in Wilkinson the other day...ah...memory lane...

Yeah but I bet the custard tarts have decreased in size, sneakily, over the years. This is a well known tactic of the food producers, make the box/tin/ packet slightly smaller, and keep the price the same. You might notice if beans go up 5p per tin, but you probably won't notice if they go down 5 grams in weight.

Exactly. I was bemoaning this the other day when I bought a bag of Minstrels. The packet was tiny! Maybe it's because I haven't bought them in ages, but I'm sure the packet used to be considerably larger.
