Is anybody living in a 2 bed flat at Lodge Moor/ bents green or knows relatives living there.

My parents have a 1 bed flat in Crosspool they want to swap for a 2 bed at Lodge Moor/ Bents Green.

They have well maintained their flat but need the extra space.

Can anybody help out?

there weer not many (eighteen at most, IIRC) flats built at Bents Green, and I think you'll find that just about all of them were taken up by the right-to-buy-ers.

You may stand a slightly better chance, looking on the Westminster development at Lodge Moor, although you will probably find:-

a) there are a lot of right-to-buy-ers on there,too, and,

b) the rooves of the flats are in quite a dire state, and desperately need replacing, yet the tenants cannot get Sheffield Homes to do the work for love nor money.

Have your parents looked at the homeswap book available at all local housing offices, and at Howden house? you may fall lucky and find someone in there who wants to exchange.

They know the area and have friends there and live in that area themselves. They just need 2 bed as at present they have 1 bed. They are already going through all channels, but I thought that this may be another avenue, someone may know someone/ or have a 2 bed in these 2 areas and want a 1 bed instead within the same area.
