Me :)
Oh the fixtures you mentioned...

Not participating now- unless it involves cash.. there is no point giving out my advice and I'm not seeing anything out of it on here now is there.

On with the gambling den.... you are of course invited Robbie if you are game for it?

Pompous!

Thats perfect! For ages I have been trying to find the right word for you Angelus. Pompous fits the bill!

i would get better odds with a bookie, and i only bet on outside bets anyways, not on certs.

see your bottling out on giving your view now angelus, but i know you will come back with your "im betting on it now" bla bla bla, ok angelus.

I am game for any bets. The fact you are so confident Angelus leads me to believe you are quite naive about the real world of gambling.
Even "pro" gamblers like J P McManus realise a good deal of it is luck.

I have said EXACTLY that on another thread Robbie. A more experienced gambler would go straight to the bookies, and not waste time on this.

So I take it you will be joining my gambling cabal then guds?

I mean I wouldnt want you backing out like robbie seems to be doing now would I.

I am very good at betting on football- I have no bones about that, other bets I'm not so confident about so that does make me a naive gambler yes- however I will no doubt look forward to taking your cash given the chance.

At least I am being honest :)

Are you in?

Yes - I tend to prefer the horses but count me in. At least i am prepared to accept there is a massive luck factor, so I have as good a chance as any.

Man, I am not even having this argument with you.
Let me make this simple for you:

If you dont put cash on it and back your comments up, your either

a* A coward and your scared of putting money on it and losing
b* A coward and you dont know a lot about football

I'm thinking a at the minute- dont make me think b mate.
The challenge is there for you Rob- are you going to take me up on it or not?

Or are you going to phone a friend like so many other times on here?

I also invite anyone to come and get some cash on a few bets- we can really make a difference to a few charities depending on the numbers involved as well in this.

And the offer extends to gentlemen and ladies as well.

Go on Rob.. what are you going to loose really? A couple of quid tops.

You could be helping some charities who really needs the cash :)
Especially as its the cancer research run coming up which I thought would be the first target of the pot.

i give to charities on a regular basis via DD through my bank account.

i dont mind losing a couple of quid like i say, nor do i mind losing face on getting predictions wrong. but what i do say is, i bet on the ones with outside odds, ie 9 home wins and stuff like that

Angelus you are being, shall we say, a little petulant here. My original offer of last night to you (and indeed anybody else) was for a 'one-off' World Cup Forum bet as a bit of fun and make a few bob for charity- that's all.

You then went on to say how good you are as a tipster: you maybe for all I and the rest of the forum know, so I threw down the guantlet to prove it as a bit of fun, no bets intended. Why are you suddenly now insisting on setting up a betting pool between forum members when as we all know it is just a damn sight easier to do it online with Ladbrokes et al?

It's quite simple, Robbie's put up this weekend's games just say what you think will be the result and hey presto it's just a bit of fun! I can't help thinking Angelus that in what is the cut and thrust world of club football forums, you would soon be 'persona non gratis' with the attitude you display sometimes.

As an aside what do footy fans think about a weekly thread for results- just a bit of fun though- as they do the Dev Cat meets every week? One of us could start it at the beginning of the week, every week.;)

And at the time of the offer I was cooking up what I have come up with now- if you want to bet on it.. fine by me.

But I am not doing it on here.

If you want to play for cash then come over to my site and we'll sort it out over there.. simple as that, but I am very much game for a world cup bet.

However- none of this 3 teams crap for the winner.
You pick one winner, who you think will win the cup.
Having 3 picks is just cowardice- go with your one team only.

Or if you want to pick three teams- then we can do a 1st, 2nd, 3rd placed finish where you need to get all three teams in the EXACT correct order to scoop that win.

The proceeds will go to the winner and the charity of our selected choosing.
Simple as that.

It is one thing to start picking winners from a forum- its certainly another kettle of fish when it comes to cash.. thats what scares people.

I am quite certain of taking your lots cash and I will be quite happy to do so given the chance- however if you want to sit and play 'lets pretend betting' on a regional forum its up to you.

If you are up for it- play for cash.
I am very confident about it- I would like to see if people are the same.

Robbie has put up the weekend game- and I have no intention unless there is cash involved of picking you lot the winners and perhaps making you some cash.. sorry, it does not work that way.

If you want the tips, bet with me for some cash- easy as that.

I like the fact that you mentioned also that I would be it seems not welcome on football chat forums- why is that I wonder?

Maybe- because regular football fans are full of ****e.. dont know what they are on about and when it comes to the crunch wont back it up for the sake of a few personal bets..

I am so glad, I am not like you lot - in fact - I thank god for it.
You are typical brainwashed generic football fans, you dont think anything else unless The Sun or media tells you so.

I find it sad really- you probably all think england will win the world cup as well..

Enough of fun bets- put your money where your mouth is- thats all I ask.

just imagine odds on that at bookies, more than anything you could compete with..... which is my point

if i remember rightly, you wanna bet a 5/10 quid, daverity offered you a ton bet

Robbie has put up the weekend game- and I have no intention unless there is cash involved of picking you lot the winners and perhaps making you some cash.. sorry, it does not work that way.

i personally would never bet on anything you give a tip on, unless of course i fancied it myself in first place

Maybe- because regular football fans are full of ****e.. dont know what they are on about and when it comes to the crunch wont back it up for the sake of a few personal bets..

if your that good at betting why dont you have millions?? just a thought that mate

You are typical brainwashed generic football fans, you dont think anything else unless The Sun or media tells you so.

you should actually get yourself down to a proper football game, as you seem to be being brain washed by media coverage ie skysports etc

I find it sad really- you probably all think england will win the world cup as well..

no we live in hope they will

By this you imply you know more about football than anyone else. I think every forum member who has read your often ill-informed posts concerning football would strongly disagree.

I am so glad, I am not like you lot - in fact - I thank god for it.You are typical brainwashed generic football fans, you dont think anything else unless The Sun or media tells you so.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly don't read the Sun. While various media and live tv sources generally help form an opinion, I (and many other members) have one extra source that you don't; I actually show some support to my team by going to the game, and watch the things you don't see on tv.

I find it sad really- you probably all think england will win the world cup as well..

I don't think England will win the World Cup. I don't see why you would say we all think England will win either. On paper we should be up there with the best, but I expect us to struggle against top opposition such as Brazil, Argentina and perhaps even Holland, who looked impressive through qualifying.

World worst predictor goes for;

SAT 11th March
Birmingham v West Brom - home win - (red card for both teams)
Blackburn v Aston Villa - home win - (Villa to miss a pen)
Bolton v West Ham - bore draw
Chelsea v Spurs - home win (late winner from Joe Cole)
Everton v Fulham - home win (dodgy pen)
Portsmouth v Man City - home win (at least one red card for City)
Sunderland v Wigan - home win!!! (2-0)

SUN 12th
Arsenal v Liverpool - home win (2-1)
Charlton v Middlesborough - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 0-0
Man U v Newcastle - away win (Shearer to score one goal - and score another 2 goals in the Prem before he retires).

Sound advice for punters is go to the bookies and put a shilling on against anything I predict.:P
