Does anyone here remember Sheafline buses from the late 1980s. They were red, white and blue (as a tribute to Her Majesty no doubt).

I worked for a short while for Sheefline when I took early retirement from Mainline, like most of the companies that sprang up after dereg, yhet had a fleet of old Leyland Nationals, most of the routes were an attempt to "pinch custom" from Mainline on the most busy routes. The wages were poor, with a bonus being paid for the amount of cash taken,they did not last very long!

What founding members of Sheafline?

I think both Sheafline and Yorkshire Terrier started at about the same time (1988) and both were started by redundent SYT employees. Sheafline were bought out by SYT about a year or so after starting.

I think (although) am not sure that South Riding also started this way a few years later.
