Has Iran made a calculated decision to start a nuclear programme be it to make weapons or for civilian reasons while the coalition wages war on global terror and 2 occupations at present. Is the coalition already stretched to deal with Iran?

There is no real coalition, only Bush and those leaders who seek to gain his favour by sending token forces in an attempt to make it appear American actions are not uni-lateral.

Whats more, it's going to be hard to raise a ligitimate coalition under American leadership, given that they have been assisting the military dictatorship in Iran's neighbour - Pakistan - to expand their illegal nuclear weapons programme.

What if Pakistan were to fall under the control of Militants. Given that they already control parts of the country, it's not un-feasable. This doesn't even seem to have occured to Bush.

Just in the same way that it didn't occur to him that if he lost his moral credibility in the Iraq war, it would be harder to muster support to take action against nutters like Ahmedinajad, thus encouraging them to take a more aggresive stance.

Bush is an idiot who is leading us into a disasterous confrontation with the Muslim world, without any clear reason why.

If there is going to be any coalition to impose basic global standards, it can not be lead by any one country, which is always - quite naturally - going to put it's own interests forward as the interests of everyone.

There is no evidence of an Iranian WMD program, rather the Iranians see themselves as people who had a great illustrius past as the Persian Empire so they want to develop the technology to say they are 'up there' with the best.

As for what is going to happen, my bet is on an air attack by the Israeli's who will then want the US to protect it from any retaliation.

The whole argument about 'Noocular' weapons is total and utter nonsence.

Israel has nuclear weapons and hasn't signed the Non Proliferation Treaty.
India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons, and the US has just agreed to sell nuclear technology to India who haven't even signed the NPT!

What kind of message does that send out????

The more and more I look at these acts, it becomes apparant that we should pay less attention to what the whitehouse says and more to its actions.

The US and its allies are the biggest hypocrites on the planet.
