So the Daily Torygraph states, so expect things to get better this year, as jobs florish and business takes off??? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/9107485/George-Osborne-UK-has-run-out-of-money.html

On the other hand The British Government, in a new report funded by the Joseph Rowntree foundation. pays for the US government using a controversial spy station in Yorkshire to "subvert and destroy democracy" The cost of policing the station is in excess of £500,000 each year, with the cost to the Ministry of Defence over the last five years estimated at over £7 million. http://www.morningstaronline.co.uk/news/layout/set/print/content/view/full/115893

So welcome to UK Cuts, an ecperience for the poorer end of the social spectrum, who will hopefully accuse each other of being lazy, as the selective propaganda encourages the ignorant to find scapegoats, as divide and rule is the intention.

You have never had it so good as it is right now, and its all downhill, for the ride in the Shylark!

Early Warning Center?????? Who against, or did the cold war never end, and the USSR is on the rampage again?

Wake up, its use has changed and had you bothered to read anything instead of attempting to be clever, then maybe your phone, computer is being monitored for a start, by Uncle Sam.

The land of the free no longer exists unless you are the top 1% and the trash, that is the rest cannot be trusted and needs watching, here ther and it seems everywhere!

I do believe that there are many countries that wish us harm and are trying to develop WMDs. The NATO countries are dotted with early warning stations to monitor the threat as well as track potential attacks.
If you keep up with world events you will know that the USSR no longer exists, but Russia still sends bombers over regularly to monitor our response.

Where were they "attempting to be clever"? They were simply trying to identify where you were talking about. Maybe you could try reading what was written and not be quite so paranoid.

And you really aren't convincing when you have to use "maybe".

I mean, "maybe" you are monitoring our computers.

Yeah, watch how the FBI and the Men in Black storm my house simply for using the words bomb and president in the same sentence.

Is this the best they can come up with? No mention of how much the US personnel put into the local economy. As for waste of money the MoD wastes a lot more on the UK. If the US are doing the job for us it's seems cheap at twice the price. Anyway the MoD probably spend more on biscuits in a year.

Give over you lot, this country is awash with money.
I cannot believe that some of you are falling for the old trick, "but we have no money", most of you, yes, but not some of you.

Wake up for Gods sake.

You are being led up the garden path.

So what should I make of this countries budget deficit, it's record levels of borrowing and the European sovereign debt crisis?

Nothing, it all smoke and mirrors and a big con.
Money is like energy.
It is niether created nor destroyed, merely changed from one form to another.
Money is just the sum total of human endaevour, and is being ripped from us by international capitalism.

What do you mean by created and destroyed? I'd thought that we exchanged our money for goods and services rather than destroying it.

Well at least people in Greece can now stop throwing themselves out of buildings now we bailed them out.
A shame bet we won't get free flights as a thank you payment for the extra £500 per British household it has cost to bail them out in the first place.

The £500 per British household requires closer scrutiny. There are many households who are retired. There are many households who are unemployed. There are many households who do not pay tax.
That leaves the workers to pick up the bill....as usual!:gag:

How much would it have cost each British household if Greece defaulted?

It's all lies. It's a right wing plot to rob the downtrodden peasants and slaves of their last shred of dignity so that the friends of the Tories can all have gold jet skis.

Well, that's the story on Planet Balpin

Interesting that the Morning Star displays a big red star beside it's name.

Re-incarnation of the late Daily Worker is it ?

I'm sure the Greeks will default, it's just a matter of when. I think this plan will buy some time for Italy and France to shore their economies up. A Greek default would be bad, but an Italian or French one would be catastrophic.

Not that much when you compare it to how much we borrow to every month to bail out our public sector

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13798000

From these figures it looks like the UK government has put in less to Greece than it borrows in a WEEK to keep the public services going.

Because I know they can do it, I was asking if they did do it. It's a different tense. 'Did you not' is asking whether they are posting without having read it, not whether they are capable of reading it!
