Does anyone know if they are going to knock down the houses on the opposite side of colley club as they are not to be re-modinised and the council are not saying a word about it.

Makes me think more houses are going.
I had heard rumours that in place they want to build private houses for £175.000.
In that area they must be nuts.

Not sure what the council are doing, do they know themselves.

I have a friend who lives on one of the roads.
Their house in in phase 2 to be demolished and no one knows yet.

Where are they going to move them to and what about the friends they have made at school.

I feel so sorry for here, why can`t they tell them in plenty of time and not allow people to speculate.

Just noticed this and was wondering is this true, I used to live bang opposite the Colley WMC. I can't believe that they are going to flatten these as well.

I have noticed the houses around the Parson Cross Hotel are due to be demolished and those on Buchanan Road.

I have also heard that the two Parson Cross college sites are due to be levelled and turned into private housing.

Does anybody know anymore ???

Green light for community development at Parson Cross

Planning permission has been granted to redevelop, in principle, 14.8 hectares of land at Parson Cross as part of the regeneration of the Southey/Owlerton area.

The site, on land at Morrall Road and Remington Road, is currently used by Sheffield College which is moving to a new site at Livesey Street. The proposals include housing, two new special educational schools, a new Learning Resource Centre and a new youth and sports centre. Detailed proposals for these plans will be submitted for approval at a later date.

The current adult education site on Morrall Road will be rehoused in a new building near to/behind Wordsworth Tavern.
I understand this building will not only be a learning base but will also house the library currently on Margetson Cres as well as a garden centre and meeting rooms for hire. The co-op will be extended to include the land taken up by the current library.
I also heard that part of Margetson Road between Colley WMC and the church will be widened and used as a bus terminus.

those houses in question are coming down? - I have a friend who foolishly bought a house on there and recently wanted it valueing - the assessor suggested that it wouldn't sell as it was likely to made subject of a CPO in the next 18 months...

that was down on Holgate...
