Agent Gypo 06-03-2006, 01:25 PM has uniteds bubble burst?
No
don't look now but the mighty Leeds are just behind you,
They have been all season
and as for wednesday , they've never been a championship side.
They are a Championship side now, and were a few years ago too. As to whether they are a good/bad one is up for debate.
the state of Sheffiekld football embarassing or what?
Not really. And Sheffield is not spelled with a K either.
fridgeman 06-03-2006, 01:46 PM No

Wasn't it Lance Cpl Jones who shouted "Don't panic, don't panic"?

It was Corporal Jones who shouted 'don't panick'.
fridgeman 06-03-2006, 04:41 PM yes it was corp jones now i remember, little grey cells working again, tablets just kicked in.
so we've got warnock (corp jones) shouting "don't panick" and sturrock shouting "stupid team" (stupid boy) and me shouting "come on Millwall, come on Brighton".

As Leeds people live in 'nowses' and drive 'caaas' a simple K in Sheffield is quite good for you.
Leeds have a huge debt, a rented ground and training ground, small attendances and a chairman of whom I would seek a second opinion if he told me that the Chief Rabbi was Jewish and the Pope was a Catholic.
Little_Alex 06-03-2006, 06:10 PM yes it was corp jones now i remember, little grey cells working again, tablets just kicked in.

Like the Owls sang to you at Hillsboro "where's your fans gone now you're S***" . I don't like the blades much but you've just convinced me of how much I dislike the mighty ( ha ha ) Leekds :gag:

Totally agree. Nothing wrong with Sheffield teams, our fans get a choice as we have two teams. You have one and cant fill a stadium, especially now Bates has arrived. Ask yourself why he chose Owls first over Leeds
Teabag 06-03-2006, 11:07 PM Utd have the easier run in, on paper they should finish second
Funny thing paper?!?

call yourself a fan and you dont even know if it is on tv?
i love leekds :hihi: fans, they do make me chuckle.
in fact, i loved what derry said about them the other day
he said something along the lines of "sheff utd have more to lose than us as we are perhaps a season in front of schedule"
now now mr derry, if leeds dont go up this season, it will be a financial disaster, as there will be no more help in the form of parachute payments to help pay for stuff. players wont wanna stay, fans wont wanna watch.
mat1978 07-03-2006, 08:26 PM It hurts to say this but I think I prefer Wednesdsay fans over the Leeds scum, what are you doin on here anyway?? Leeds got its own forum?
Now **** off you leeds p***k:rant:
surfinjim 07-03-2006, 11:02 PM the spelling of sheaffield oil spell it as i want,
I always thought Leeds fans were pretty slick!
1. Its Sheffield
2. Its "I'll" or "I will".
I pity your old English teacher.
Anyway, I though Leeds was just a service station for the M1:suspect:
Jim:thumbsup:

Sorry to be pedantic, but both of the "Its" in your points 1 and 2 should be "It's", as they're both contractions of "It is".
:)
natzzz69 08-03-2006, 12:32 PM Is this a football thread or a spelling and grammer thread??

oh my god i'm being stalked, suppose i'll get barred off this flippen thread now!!!
anyway, back to the football;
question 1
who is the best behaved fans in yorkshire? (yes i know it's a sheffield forum before anyone starts)
and question 2
at what point did us guys allow women into football grounds, back in the early days hardly any if any never ventured anywhere near a football ground (might have been done before, if not might even be a good topic for a new thread)
natzzz69 08-03-2006, 12:48 PM [QUOTE=fridgeman]at what point did us guys allow women into football grounds,[QUOTE]
At what point was it up to you guys to decide if women went to football matches???
And I was only keeping the thread on topic!!!

jossyboy 09-03-2006, 07:03 PM i sense fridgman has just posted this to see how many people he can pee off i recommend ignoring the fellow from now on and we can all get back to discussing how united are a great team who have had a fantastic season whilst leeds have had a decent run but are close to financial ruin and are still paying robbie fowlers wages (who wrote their contracts?) and even if they do get into second place they are still in no where near as good a position as us (finance wise) so we have a better future than them
done
I think fridgeman is actually from sheffield (moonshine lane if im not mistaken) whats the point in this thread?

so you sense i am trying to pee everyone off (you derek acoras side kick or what) if i am i'm not doing a very good job , this is just good healthy banter , beats kicking the s**** out of each other, looks out to see if it's a full moon and takes another tablet, united are a good team i agree but disagree with the term great, no yorkshire team has ever been great only good, ok from time to time they may have a stint in the top league but belive you me , it's only for a short spell unlike liverpool, man utd and the rest.
Leeds still paying fowlers wages, he had a damm good agent cannot fault fowler for that it's the guys upstairs.
as for finance it's finance whats killing the game , it's just business now with a sprinkling of entertainment everynow and then.
it's not a big secret where i live and i have never tried (re several other posts)to hide where i live.
so jossyboy lets see what you're like at the good old game of footy, i see you never mentioned the owls, (SHEFFIELD wednesday to you matey lad) so i take it you're a blade nowt wrong with that fair proportion of yorksire men are, each to their own i say.
mmitchell 11-03-2006, 06:24 PM yes :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: come on leeds :D :D
jossyboy 15-03-2006, 06:36 PM yeah i never said they were great either but i think united have done better than any of us predicted before the start of this season and playoffs is still a big acheivment. We'll have too see what happens v leeds. Dont forget leeds still have to play reading
fridgeman 15-04-2006, 11:14 AM well done you blades.
enjoy the dizzy heights of the premership and don't come straight back down.
fly the flag of Shiney Sheffield warnocks warriors.
