View Full Version : Martial arts/combat sports on a saturday?
does anyone know of any classes that are run on a saturday?
i know that brian aiken has a grappling class on saturday afternoons, and someone recently advertised something similar at waltheof. i also recently saw a post for kickboxing on a saturday (at walkley i think). does anyone know of anything else? i'd be particularly interested in boxing, but any info at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Crayfish 10-04-2006, 15:35 Summer park BJJ / general grappling / light MMA sessions - anywhere with grass, endcliffe park might be good
I think it's a good idea, except for the lack of insurance and possible joining in of crazy people
My back garden, for anyone interested! Time: as long as we can before my wife starts telling me off for rolling around with grown men (the neighbours start to talk!)
WARNING: Students have been know to take a beating from a 3yr old little girl!
chefkicker 11-04-2006, 12:36 Marsdens all styles do a sparring session every Saturday.
12pm till 1pm I believe. One of AFK's champions does some of his sparring there as well once in a while.
Kids and Adults, the Marsden brothers have their own kids there.
Good quality sparring. The marsden brothers vary in their approach to sparring. Darren the older one tends to be more technical while Simon tends to go for the kill. Clo Bo will be able to elaborate on this session.
Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre in the sports hall where they do the 5 a side football.
Near to Norton College.
Well worth the £4 if you like a good sparring session.
Davemantis 11-05-2006, 09:25 have a look at my new time table you can find it at www.kungfurotherham.co.uk or at www.mfcba.co.uk
At the moment i only have a wing chun class but that looks like it might change with another class starting soon
Thats right Jon, send your daughter in to beat the guys up.
You shouldn't really bruise the guys egos any more than you already do.
