View Full Version : What freaks you out? bellis 06-04-2004, 18:11 clowns scare me for some reason ..saw one driving a car once:confused: Jon 06-04-2004, 18:15 Sound of glass cracking in films...I saw a clown driving a car once, think it was Sheffield UTDs manager thou! :P thenewborn 06-04-2004, 18:33 dont like people scratching knives and forks on plates orseeing people chewing on a shirt sleeve or something not much else, but slightly off topic i have the biggest phobia of sharks, which is stupid i guess, since there arent many in the UK, but stil get nervouse when swiming in the sea, especially when im out of my depth genesiscouch 06-04-2004, 18:35 haha you think I would fall for this flimsy ruse?! Everyone listen...don't tell...'they' will only use it against you... thenewborn 06-04-2004, 18:37 well i dont see anyone running round with sharks ready to jump me, do you? Sam Miguel 06-04-2004, 19:03 Dog crap freaks me out like nothing else on Earth. Rich 06-04-2004, 19:24 I've been scared of sharks ever since I saw Jaws at age 6.... I remember after I'd seen it I wouldn't go on the beach went we went on hols for nearly a year. Other than that nothing really scares me, other than women on a rant. kittykat 06-04-2004, 19:47 mime artists.... eek! mikosavi 06-04-2004, 20:23 how about this one head first inside a body size narrowind tunnel/tube, arms by your side on a downward incline. you dare not move for fear of getting stuck tighter. kittykat 06-04-2004, 20:36 Theres something like that on the market for us to use to xray wriggly people. Its transparent though so the xrays go through. Would that actually make it any better though? My evil side says when im in charge im going to invest in a few. MUHAHAHAHA melody on 07-04-2004, 00:12 Dead birds..... FairyNormal 07-04-2004, 15:45 Bridges with gaps in them where you can see through to the river or whatever's underneath. Always feel as if I am going to fall through or the bridge is going to collapse. I aslo hate stairs like that .......... the open type. I'm hardly thin enough to fall through but have an irrational fear of falling through or getting my leg/foot stuck. I am also freaked out by anyone touching the insides of my wrists or the backs of my knees. Makes me feel jumpy and all on edge. I HATE IT!!! saxon51 07-04-2004, 15:49 Ladders. If it aint fixed, I don't climb it. bellis 07-04-2004, 17:35 this is freaky lol:loopy: http://www.ihateclowns.com/ GazB 08-04-2004, 08:20 Originally posted by mikosavi how about this one head first inside a body size narrowind tunnel/tube, arms by your side on a downward incline. you dare not move for fear of getting stuck tighter. How's about being buried alive? Alone deep in the earth in a tiny box close to your face, unable to move legs or arms and unable to breathe.. Scary. Probably worse if you COULD breathe! Babooshka 08-04-2004, 08:29 Speaking of being buried alive...did you see that half hour Hitchcock when that prisoner trying to escape got buried alive. She made a deal with a 'going' blind' prison undertaker to allow her to sneak in to the coffin of the next dead person. She would then be buried and await for him to come and dig her up later. However, once buried, she waited and waited...no one came. Eventually, she lit her cigarette lighter...to have a sneaky peek at the dead body upon whom she was laying....and it was THE GUY HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!!! That would freak me out. I'm with you FetishFairy on this one. I hate bridges when you can see down..and even the second rung of a ladder makes me feel faint. Scorpions, crabs, lobsters and spiders freak me out to the point of therapy. to the newborn.........who the hell do you know that chews on their sleeve???????? Mosherchik 08-04-2004, 10:08 Choirboys... dunno why but whenever I hear music like that I shudder same with cello music, its just way too creepy There is something else that doesnt so much freak me out as worry me and thats seeing pre-teen kids 8-13 year olds dressing like mini tarts, mini skirts and boots and crop tops. To me its just wrong, same as those pagents they have in America with 9 years all tarted up it creeps me out and scares me. Babooshka 08-04-2004, 10:17 I love the sound of the cello. It is my fave instrument. Used to play it in the school orchestra. Know what you mean about the teens tho. There is nothing worse than an overweight teen (that is not the problem bit) who thinks she is being trendy by wearing a cropped top over jeans and whose belly is hanging out inbetween....and bulging out at the back. Here is a tip...when standing in front of the mirror...DO NOT BREATHE IN! That way, by standing in a natural pose..you will see yourself as you really are when you get outside..and the way the rest of the world sees you. NOT ATTRACTIVE! Buy longer T-shirts, my lovlies. genesiscouch 08-04-2004, 13:35 Originally posted by GazB How's about being buried alive? Alone deep in the earth in a tiny box close to your face, unable to move legs or arms and unable to breathe.. Scary. Probably worse if you COULD breathe! For Navy SERT (or is it SERE?) training in the US they "crack" people by burying them in a 45 gallon drum with a small hole punched in the top and then slowly fill it up with water until the water is just a bit from the top so you have just that tiny space to get your lips to in order to breathe. Not my idea of a fun afternoon. Babooshka 08-04-2004, 14:15 Depends who the subject is....muahahahaha !!!!!!! Babooshka 08-04-2004, 15:00 ........and people who can't spell, use grammar correctly, know the difference between 'less and fewer' (major gripe of mine!) and generally make a mockery of the English language ! Get back to school you sinners ! fuzbuz 08-04-2004, 15:59 Im realy fkin scared of conifers. Not so much little ones but the big ones that are higher than the house sort of thing. I have dreams that i wake up and loads of conifers the size of blackpool tower are surrounding all the houses like a forest of them ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh genesiscouch 08-04-2004, 16:39 Originally posted by Babooshka Depends who the subject is....muahahahaha !!!!!!! Should I haul the drum out of the garage then? You first yeah...? ;) Babooshka 08-04-2004, 16:56 erm....not today hey ! I'm chasing my first victim. S/he makes an appearance on here from time to time ! By the way, what happens if they don't crack ? Do the just fill the water level all the way up and watch them die ? Probably huh ! genesiscouch 08-04-2004, 17:16 It's a course for members of the Special Forces and such in the US, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape. The idea is to experience what it is like to be a POW, be tortured etc., so that if it really happens you are not taken by surprise mentally. There's all sorts of things they do such as that buried drum and water as well as things like breaking fingers (in the presence of a medical doctor apparently and on your non-essential pinky). But yeah when you join up you sign your life away and occasionally soldiers do die while undergoing the training. There's different levels of the course too so these kind of things would be on the high levels. Babooshka 08-04-2004, 17:25 Breaking fingers.....yikes. Count me out ! Well, you have to be prepared. Poor guys ! Guess the survivors (Yanks and Brits alike) make the ultimate soldier...and that is what is needed. Did you see that docu that was on until a couple of weeks ago where two groups of soldiers were undergoing training but each by different methods? One group being punished if they failed and left alone if they won. The other being left alone if they failed but rewarded if they won. Carrot and Stick I think it was called. I missed the last one and just wondered what happened. I don't think you can train a soldier to 'be the best' (as is our motto) by lots of molly coddling and campfire cuddles but they certainly proved to be strong in one or two of the contests ! Doubt they would make it in to the SAS ! Don't we have the strongest army the world has ever seen ? Grissom 08-04-2004, 18:20 Things like this freak me out http://www.media.uio.no/personer/arntm/McGurk_english.html people shouldnt be allowed to screw with my mind !!!
