Are there any superlatives to describe how well Joe Calzaghe has just fought?

Lacy's corner should have thrown the towel in way before the last round IMO.
Joe has well and truly shown his world class pedigree in this fight. I said on a thread weeks ago that Lacy might win this. How wrong was i!

What a performance by the boyo, Joe just beat up Lacey for 12 rounds. I must admit i was worried going into this fight but Calzaghe put in a top drawer performance. It looked like a man fighting a boy, why Lacey's corner didn't throw the towel in I'll never know.

As Calzaghe said it was the first time since 1997 he has fought to win a world title rather than regain the world title, I think that this made a big difference with Calzaghe's approach.

right, now i've got my breath back! that was one of THE best displays of boxing i've ever seen, from any fighter, from anywhere in the world - absolutely breathtaking. i was worried about Joe's hands, but to be honest i think he was so superior i think he could have won one-handed, like he did in his last fight.

OH! What a display! He got battered! And the americans said he was good to!?! haha Class!

Just watched this on Sky +and the dam thing stopped recording with 1 minute 21 seconds of the last round to go. GUTTED!!

Was a brilliant fight, the best I've seen in ages. Wish I'd got to see the end though.

this fight has got to be amongst the top fights in recent years, infact in any era. non stop action the work rate of calzaghe was amazing, & how lacey stayed the distance i,ll never know the fitness of both boxers & heart shown was
astounding top marks to both fighters for a cracking fight
