just a question for anyone who knows really , how do you create a link so that you can type words like "click here" to view the link instead of inserting the full url of the website ie:- http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/... in simple terms how do i alter the link into words like "click here" so it takes you to the website
all help appreciated thanx

Ok when you go to reply (I have only just learnt this and the first time I have done it) to a post, youwill see a little "world" icon with what looks like a paperclip. Click on that then copy and paste yourlink in the box that pops up. Press ok, then hit delete once (it deletes the highlighted text) then insert the text you want.

Then paste the copied link. The end result is the same.

Alternatively you can manually do it...

Type the following

(URL="urlgoeshere")texthere(/URL)

where the website you wish to link to goes where it says urlgoeshere, and the text description goes in texthere

Replace ( ) with [ ]

eg BBC NEWS (http://news.bbc.co.uk)

hope that makes sense...
