I watched this last night after being told about it a while back by my close friends, and what a film it is!

Easily- best film of the year for me.

Its a film about tough, highly competitive rugby players. Quadriplegic rugby players. Whether by car wreck, fist fight, gun shot, or rogue bacteria, these men were forced to live life sitting down. In their own version of the full-contact sport, they smash the hell out of each other in custom-made gladiator-like wheelchairs. And no, they don't wear helmets!

I know it sounds violent and you may think its not your cup of tea- WRONG!

You have to watch it to understand how mentally strong these blokes are after what they have been through in their lives and their experiences.

If you want something to watch this weekend thats just a little bit different- I highly recommend it :thumbsup:

yes its great went to see it at cinema - when i mentioned it on here some clueless individual who obviously had no idea what i was on about said something along the lines of it being a violent horror flick - cant find the thread though!

I remember that thread too.

I also experience this mentality from...of all places...The Showroom. My mate hadn't had chance to catch it when Cineworld had it, so whilst we were having a drink at Showroom he popped to the ticket desk to ask if they would be getting it.

"No mate, I doubt we will get it. It's not the kind of film we show!"
"Why not? I thought it was exactly suited to here?"
"Nah, it came out a few years ago and was a terrible remake!"
"Huh?"
"The original was much better!"
"No...it's not a remake, it is a documentary about Quad Rugby!"
"Nah...it is a violent remake of a 70s film. We won't be showing it!"

No matter what he wouldn't accept that it was a new documentary.

Anyway....yeah...Murderball. Great film, and very eye opening!
