There was a car crash on Infirmary road last night at 6.50.

Does anybody have any info about it? I was there shortly afterwards and would be very interested to know what had caused it and what happened to the three young people involved.

I WAS ON PENISTONE RD LAST NIGHT AT ABOUT 9.pm and from hillfoot bridge it was closed a car was implanted in the side of a lamp post is this the one you mean

Yeah - lampost was bent over looking as if it was going to collapse.

I went past this at about 8pm last night; must have been just after it happened. The police were shutting off that side of the road (I was going the other way) and turning the traffic around onto the other carriageway towards Hillsborough.

The car was an absolute wreck, it was impaled side on by the (almost horizontal) lampost. The driver must have been doing one hell of a speed to wrap it around the lampost like that.

Well if they were speeding I have no sympathy for them.
