Does anyone know what was going on this morning around Hunters Bar? The police had cordoned off some of Eastwood Road (nr Hickmott) with biohazard tape! And i saw a fire engine (which i later found out went to Penrhyn Road) and two paramedics on their way up Ecclesall Road this morning.
Any clues??
Hey I saw the Biohazard tape and heard lots of sirens too.. Sadly I dont know much about what was going on..
How serious does an incident have to be to cordon off a road? And what kind of chemicals would require a Biohazard marker??

Read the fron t page of this evenings star.
A house that was thought to be empty was on fire - it turns out that the ENTIRE house was a weed growing factory and the hydroponics gear had started a fire.
So the house was one big joint?
Do you reckon all the firemen have serious munchies?

There was a rape/attempted rape at 2am yesterday morning on the bit of grass opposite the Wycliff church. I asked one of the policemen when I walked past just before lunch. Not seen anything about it in the news or anything.
Yep just seen this on the afternoon news. A girl walked from Elif's down Hickmott Road and was chased then grabbed and pushed to the ground. It said 'serious sexual assult'.

Oh my god that's so scary - I used to live right opposite that bit of grass. Used to hear funny noises from there - people shouting etc but it was usually just drunken people getting rowdy.
That's really shocked me.
As for the Penrhyn Road thing - I bought the Star as well just for the picture! I know people who live on there and didn't know anything about it though

Rumour has it that it's 'fallout' from the carpet recently removed from the middle room of the lescar whilst 'renovating' :hihi: :D
