My wife and I have "our" song, which we decided on within a few month's of early "courting", as it was called then.

It is the theme to a film we saw together in 1959....." A Summer Place"

Hence it is simply called "Theme from a Summer Place".

She has always had a crush on Cliff Richard, from being an early teenager and I was aways a bit peeved by this....irrational, I know. So anything from Cliff's early days..Move it! through to Summer Holiday, The Next Time etc automatically reminds me of her as she was then.

Funnily enough, I still see that young teenager in her each day when I look at her.

I am getting soppy now.

I only wish I showed that side of me to my missus more often :(

I am not as old as owdlad, and unlike him, as he opined on another thread, I have not been in love with Netto and then transferred my affections to Lidl..... :hihi:

I'll be showing my age, too, but here goes. Our song was a should-have-been-forgettable tune by Foreigner called, "You're All I Am." Its lyrics had lots of meaning at the time.

But, now that I see my ex's true colors, I think a better choice would have been Elvis Presley's "(You Ain't Nothing But a) Hound Dog.":suspect:

A dance tune called Freedom by a scottish group called QFX - they are (or rather were in my youth) very popular up north but are little known down here. I only met my bf as he was downloading the mp3 from me on Napster (before it was shut down) for his friend and we got chatting. Bon Jovi Always was my ex's song and 'you're so veign' reminds me of a few ex's....

i'm all alone, so i guess it would be "All by myself" from bridget jones. or "Every loser wins" by nick berry.

I know this answer doesn't actually qualify for the thread, but hey,
