Do you think luck, good or bad, comes in three's? i'm quite supersticious (excuse my spellin cos i think its wrong) and so far at the weekend ive managed to crack the front bumper of my cars bodykit pulling onto my driveway ( its now completely split and broken at side), accidentally put my usb pen in the wash with all my work and assignments saved on it - i still dont know if it will work ive given it plenty time to dry out so gonna try it today. So ive been waiting for my third thing of bad luck and now i have managed to just grab my hair straighteners by the hot end leaving me with several sore plastic like lines accross the insides of all my fingers! could this be my 3rd bad luck or is it not big enough as other two were bit more significant?!

Have you ever had instances where your good or bad luck has come in threes or do you think its all nonsense?

I agree that bad luck comes in 3s but then I worry when I see a single magpie...!

I really dont know! But I've had two very expensive episodes of bad car luck, so I really am hoping there's not gonna be a third!!

Oh yes, my bad luck has come in a three...

1, I got a huge dint in my car :(
2, I was accosted by a group of 8-12 youths while I was working and had the living daylights frightened outta me
3, I'm now that skint I cant afford to go to the law ball and the next time I'm ever likely to be able to go out is after April 24th when I get my loan payment :(

if that single magpie things true i may as well give up now - I tend to see at least two or three single ones everyday and yes I would consider myself to be fairly unlucky!! :(

I'm not superstitious as a rule, but my last 3 weeks the following has happened:

1. Wheel fell off my honda prelude whilst driving and sheered the hub and wheel.

....i buy a new prelude

2. Seems to be a slight steering problem with the new prelude, so I ask a mate whom is a mechanic to come out for a drive with me so I can demostrate. I go round a bend at 60mph, steering goes, back end comes out... SMASH into a post and a wall. Not nice - and a write off

.... Buys ANOTHER new car.

3. Just a run about now. Im skint after buying 2 performance cars and killing them both. I leave work last night, the car stalls itself 6 times on a half an hour journey. Im not talking about when im stationary, just when i let the revs go at any speed. great.

wow you are having some bad luck with cars!! maybe your just a wreckless driver!! jus kidding ;) will insurance not cover the cars?

well i tried my usb pen today and luckily it seems to work ok and all my work is fine :D i didnt want to try it before as there was actually condensation inside it (its got transparent casing) but its dried out now so im happy again.

I don't really believe in good / bad luck. Obviously getting hit by a meteor or winning the lotto would proove to be an exception to this but most things people consider "unlucky" are nothing to do with chance.

No ok you've got me on that one! i admit it was shear stupidity as i was not looking what i was doin and actually thought i was pickin up my hairbrush at the time :blush:

I hoped bad luck did come in 3's as recently bad things seem to be happening all the time, and I'm way past my 3's and onto 6's. :(

I'm fairly (and inexplicably) superstitious about magpies. I dread seeing single ones and since the bad things have been happening all I've seen are lonely no mates magpies. Until yesterday, when I saw two of 'em so here's hoping things are looking up!

And yes, I know there is no such thing as luck and the presence of a black and white bird cannot determine my future happiness. :suspect:
