While watching Look Leeds tonight i noticed they had a story on a Black Modeling competition and it sprung to mind the question i have been thinking for a long time. I mean i'm not at all a racist person but what would happen if someone turned around and decided to open a white only pregnancy group or something. It's not something im particularly bothered about but people that are classed as minorities can't exactly blame anyone for this because the seperate themselves by organising these groups.
Does anyone agree or do i need to explain myself more?

The problem with the last couple of decades of excessive multicultural tolerance is that, rather than freeing ethnic minorities to enjoy British society, it has allowed them to create islands of sub-culture within our cities which do not integrate with the mainstream.
This is equally manifested in ethnic-only help groups and events like this. Regrettably, all it does is further isolate these groups from the rest of the population.
Need to explain more.
I sometime am not sure how to reply to threads like this.
All I know is that, racism have a higher media coverage than it used to in my parents' generation. It is not a bad thing when ethnic minority used to be repressed, and suppressed that they start events like beauty contests or various other entities and support groups to boosts morale and beat the system.
In this day and age now though, I see that the table have somehow turned. It's a reversed situation of 'white' versus other ethnic groups mentality. In a way, I am glad that people do put themselves into other people's shoes... and consider what things must be like for them, but at the same time... you're also reinforcing and alienating others from still mentioning and highlighting this.
In the US. It was black people in slavery that make people revoke and express themselves. It is also why a lot of black establishments/entities/support groups were formed. These days, it's white claiming black culture in terms of RnB, and the likes. It is all very strange....
