I'm asking for a friend, does anyone know if and where she can get Americana (JUST Americana not Americana Dreams) font for free on the web for Mac? It's probably not possible but neither of us can find it and figured if anyone can, someone on here can! Cheers :thumbsup:

Mac OS X or OS 9?

OS X will use truetype (pc) fonts and opentype fonts without issue. Fonts are still subject to copyright, though....

As far as I know Americana isn't available for free download anywhere, as it's owned by a few type foundries.

Try finding someone with the PC version who can, um, lend it to you...

*ahem* sadly I only have friends with Microsoft software and apparently it's an Adobe font? It's available for download at $22 but that's a bit steep for her graphics design coursework! Thanks for the help, will continue the search....
