Sorry if this has been discussed before but we have 18866.co.uk for 1p calls unlimited duration but the last few calls it seems to disconnect BT broadband as soon as the call in answered.

Anyone else have any problems like this ?

ummmm - by extensions do you mean more than one phone from the same box ?
- no - there are no extensions - just one phone

Also, phone line quality is not too good which makes me think it is "their" problem..

Have a look at this http://www.tiscali.co.uk/help/broadband/filters.html

For each telephone device you have on your system you should connect through an ADSL filter or you will lose your BB connection whilst you are on the phone.

I think we have got wires crossed  It has worked OK for ages and went a bit wonky yesterday.

Just to confirm there is one phone, one pc, one number, one adsl filter

Given that you've pretty much put the extension and filter issue to bed you might want to contact BT and ask them to conduct a line test for you to see if there is a problem on the line now.

You could have been unlucky and got your connections jogged by the tech when they installed or connected a new line at the junction box locally or some weather issue (cold, damp, etc..) has had an effect.

I'd also consider trying a new ADSL filter to be sure the actual filter itself hasn't given up the ghost or been damaged by a power surge on the line.
