We've had pretty much every type of poll on different types of show but now I reckon it's time for a detective poll. Who do you go for? A bit of Inspector Lynley, Morse, Jack Frost or the old school like Poirot or Miss Marple? I go for Jonathan Creek myself, bringing comedy and challenging puzzles to TV.
it has to be Morse, simply because I love Oxford. i love visiting the locations, especially the Trout Inn at Wolvercote.

Foyles War for me..
I loved the way you got to understand so much more about the period and what it was like while actually going through the investigation process.. Seriously interesting stuff..
Sherlock Holmes
Frost
Bergerac
Kojac
I also enjoyed the early editions of Taggart but think it's poor now.
I love Columbo ! Also Monk, the show that is like Columbo but stars Tony Shalhoub, the guy who played the character that ran the pawnbroker shop in Men in Black
He's hilariously weird

I used to love Jonathan Creek ...Mmmm Alan Davis... but since Caroline Quentin left I thinks its kinda lost something, its gone a bit banale recently.
Still love Daziel and Pascoe just for Warren Clarke marvellous
Rebus was good also
and currently enjoying that Murder City
Im very big on Crime Drama
All time fave has to be Prime Suspect, fave one was PS 5 with Steven Mackintosh camping it up and calling all the cops "Dibbles"

i also loved Taggart. think it lost the plot after they killed off Michael Jardine.
Dunno if it counts as a Detective show but I've watched The Bill for years...
The Detectives! . . . Jasper & Curly. GREAT!
Columbo for me every time
CSI is my fave. but is that a detective show??
Frost is good, Law and Order is fantastic.
Good to see some fellow Columbo fans on here, he's the man!
